Harry Potter

I've just finished reading Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows yesterday. Like, finally, right? Had to wait for my brother to finish reading first. Everyone was talking about the book, and before I even read it, I already knew that R.A.B is Regulus Black, that Snape is a good guy, and that Harry isn't gonna die (died but came back again). How great is that?

Anyway, I really like the book. Unlike the other books, every page of this book is tense. And I still love J.K. Rowling's sense of humour. There are times where I laughed out loud even in the middle of a serious situation, and more than once I almost cried. I'm still a big fan of Harry Potter afterall. The book, I mean. =D

Just for the record, my grandmother's body was just cremated today. I'm sure she's happy with my grandfather now in heaven. =)

Actually this blog is supposed to be devoid of any personal problems (well except for the first post), so I'm not gonna type anything bad. Not that I've anything bad to say, of course. Why? Well. Because I've found my source of adrenaline. It's so effective that everytime I feel down, once I think about it I'll end up grinning to myself. Honestly, it's so much better than let myself be drowned in all the misery that I've been coming across often lately. So, I'm officially happy. =D

Don't be mistaken. I'm not trying to imply anything here. I believe they're straight, even though it may seem otherwise. I think they just have a very good friendship, that's all. They seem like the type of friends who will keep in contact even until they're old. I just think that they look really cute together, no other meaning. ^^

Korean wave.

Somehow, a few days ago I revisited Youtube and stumbled upon some old Dong Bang Shin Ki clips. Well, you know what happened next. So I won't waste time crapping. xD

The five of them.

YoungWoong JaeJoong, the oldest and the lead singer of the group (so naturally he's got a great voice). He's the best looking out of the five (IMO), and still probably the most beautiful man I've ever seen.

But then, the one I like most is still...

U-Know Yunho. He's the leader, the second oldest in the group, and he sings bass. Not exactly the best singer among the five, but definitely the best dancer he's one of the best dancers in the group in terms of skills. And he's a very good leader.

Track #2 in Linkin Park's new album Minutes to Midnight. First time I've heard so much ballad in the band's album, first time they've used vulgarities in their songs. Some of the tracks are just plain boring, but some things stay the same. For one, Chester's screaming still leaves me wondering what his throat is made of. I don't agree with the saying that "he's getting old, so he can't scream anymore". Total bullcrap. Another thing, their songs' lyrics still remain as real as ever. Those words seriously ring true, man. And that's one of the reasons I love the band. My favourite song is Leave Out All The Rest, next is What I've Done, the first single.

Hmm. Why can't my voice go hoarse like Chester's? haha.

Good ol' music

Hey! I'm here to make some recommendations. Good things are to be shared, right?

First up-- DAUGHTRY! (the band's name is spelled in caps, for your info)

It's a rock band fronted by Chris Daughtry. I bought the album months ago because of him (long story), but the album itself is great. I love every track in the album, and that's not something I can say about many other albums I've heard. Most of the songs are rock, but they're not as uhm.. noisy as other rock songs may sound. It's kinda hard to pick a favourite, but if I have to, I'd say that I like "Home" the most. It's just a pity if you don't know of such a good band. So just give it a listen, it's really good. I can even send you the songs if you want. ^^

Next! Nickelback. I love the lead singer's voice, whoever he is. It's hoarse and very very suitable for the genre. They're a rock band, but somehow other than maybe the music arrangement, their songs aren't exactly rock-ish. They sound more pop-ish, actually. But the songs will still be able to stay in your playlist for quite a while.
