Something reminded me of the Chinese passage I read during my Chinese tuition last Saturday. It was about using friends for one's benefits, or more like, making "friends" to be used. That passage made me kinda disgusted then. My tuition teacher also asked me a question: "Which would you befriend; a hardworking student or a drug addict?", and looked at me with that "obviously-the-hardworking-student-right" expression. I told him that it depends; the drug addict may actually be a nice person but the hardworking student may not be a good person either. Which made him kinda speechless.

I believe that I'm neither naive nor dumb; I know that in real life, more often than not, one's best friend has to be oneself and the word "friendship" is just a mask to conceal one's selfishness. But I want to believe that true friends do exist. I want to. But it's getting harder to deceive myself, not that it was ever easy to start with.

The 5th single off the album, and my Daughtry song of the month! It's nice and I love the acoustic version of the song (first heard it on Idol Gives Back). His LIVE performances are great too! (1 2) The thing about Chris is that he changes a lot of parts of the songs, but the changed version sounds just right. And GOSH I LOVE HIS VOICE.

Apparently Feels Like Tonight was the the 4th single (MV). It is a very difficult song to sing; the screaming notes are high so he can't really sing this perfectly LIVE.

The band is actually touring now and they are starting to perform new songs. I demand a new album! It's been more than 1 year already.. D: And come to Singapore again please! But hold the concert in the Indoor Stadium, not in a club. ><

Something is not right if I've been listening to Korean songs 24/7 but suddenly I'm switching to Linkin Park's songs.

Linkin Park rocks. period.

The concert was awesome. It started at around 9 and ended around 10.30, so it was only a 1.5 hour show. But quality matters more than quantity. The band's playing and Mike's rapping sounded perfect, Chester's screaming was totally o.0. In a good way, though. Very controlled. At first when he started singing, I thought that he sounded different than in records, kinda higher. But after a while he sounded fine. I noticed that he was wearing what looked like a red glove on his right hand, but I just found out that it was actually a cast. He broke his wrist when he jumped off (well, fell off) the stage in Australia last month. But he still continued to sing then. That's professionalism, man. (but still, ouch.)

The crowd was so high, all singing along to the songs. At first I thought that there weren't gonna be much people as the tickets weren't even sold out yet, but it turned out that the whole stadium was almost full; there were only a few seats left here and there. Although Michelle and me got seats, sometime in the beginning Mike asked everybody to stand up and so we did throughout. Somehow when they were singing I forgot some of the song titles though. xP The whole concert seemed short, but the fact is, they sang about 20 songs. I don't remember I have ever been so high in my life before. One word: 爽! I'm so buying the concert DVD. And if they come to Singapore again, I'm gonna get the standing tickets in front. xD

If you wanna know how good Linkin Park is live, watch this (not from last night's concert). Given Up was the first song in the concert (after Wake), and the screaming just kicks ass.

Track #2 in Linkin Park's new album Minutes to Midnight. First time I've heard so much ballad in the band's album, first time they've used vulgarities in their songs. Some of the tracks are just plain boring, but some things stay the same. For one, Chester's screaming still leaves me wondering what his throat is made of. I don't agree with the saying that "he's getting old, so he can't scream anymore". Total bullcrap. Another thing, their songs' lyrics still remain as real as ever. Those words seriously ring true, man. And that's one of the reasons I love the band. My favourite song is Leave Out All The Rest, next is What I've Done, the first single.

Hmm. Why can't my voice go hoarse like Chester's? haha.
