Juui Dolittle

The reunion of Rui and Makino!!! Ahem. Shun and Narimiya Hiroki are good friends!!! Ahem sorry. Let's get this right. This drama is about vets and pets, two words which can't be separated from each other and also rhyme! LOL SORRY. Not in the right mind now. It's rare that a cast gets me this excited about a drama right from the start haha! XD

Shun acts as Tottori, a vet of first-rate surgery skills with has a sharp tongue who charges outrageously high rates for his services. He's, how do I put this, tsundere. He is merciless with his words, but he talks sense and he's essentially a kind person. I don't necessarily agree with his view that veterinary is a business, but hey, he's a damn good vet, so I'll let that slide. It's hilarious how he's always munching on veggies LOL; I should follow his footsteps and be healthy XD. I, uh, hate Shun's hair here 'cos it looks like it's supposed to look naturally messy but it's just messy without the natural bit, but I love him so that's okay; he still looks good XD. And as always, Shun delivered a solid performance! I love how Tottori's character is apparent in everything he does, right down to his walking; he was just so consistent. And even though Tottori comes across as being emotionally stunted, you can tell that there's something beneath that cold-hard exterior. His eyes are gentle, especially when he looks at animals. Shun is great.

Mao acts as Tajima Asuka, an animal-loving person who, because of her debt, came to work for Tottori as an assistant. She's a kind-hearted, innocent girl who was still finding her own path in life before she met Tottori. Mao is soooo pretty and adorable; I love her eyes! And her complexion. And everything, really. I think her eyes are great assets for her acting; she looks very convincing with that big eyes and unwavering gaze of hers.

Then there's Narimiya Hiroki, acting as Hanabishi, who is nicknamed the "Charisma Vet" and drives a bright red sports car and who's basically just a carbon copy of someone it's not even funny and the heaven is totally making fun of me.

Anyway. He has a trauma of surgeries because he made a mistake in one involving his own pet, which resulted in its death. I think Narimiya Hiroki did a really good job portraying Hanabishi's emotional struggles with his trauma.

As a whole, we get a lot of heartwarming scenes with adorable animals and moments for viewers to reflect on the way they have been treating their pets. The story can get a little draggy sometimes, but I liked this drama, and I'm not even an animal lover :). The main pull is definitely the main actors though XD.

Neeways, apparently Shun's next drama is gonna have Fujiwara Tatsuya (the guy acting as Light in Death Note) as well! I always thought that he looks like Shun LOL this is gonna be interesting~.

Tokyo Dogs

(Dramawiki)

Oguri Shun and Mizushima Hiro as main leads in a drama together?! How can anyone NOT watch it, LOL. Well, I sure did haha! Anyway, this is such a funny drama LOL. It doesn't feel like the humour is forced; it's funny in unexpected ways. I really like this drama! The cast are great and the plot is interesting :). I can't really explain it, but I think it was shot very well too. But the ending was so inconclusive, other than the one for the main plot. I demand a sequel, or at least a Special >:[!

Oguri Shun stars as Takakura Sou, an elite detective. He looks like an emotionless robot, but is actually a great guy. He's strict, but not unreasonable. He's just a really good detective, that's all. He's very dependable! He's strong, yet vulnerable. And he's actually very innocent, like a kid. Guh I love Sou; he's such a dear :3. Sou is currently my favourite role that Shun has played so far, after Hanazawa Rui. (I mean, Rui is one of the Mr. Perfects in my eyes.)

(By the way, isn't it ironic that both the main leads have played a Mr. Perfect before? Shun as Rui in Hana Yori Dango, and Hiro as Rihito in Mei-chan no Shitsuji xD.)

Shun is a really good actor! All of his scenes are so believable. He is SO KAKKOI, neeeeee? This hairstyle makes him look like a cool goody-two-shoes, which suits Sou's personality. But like I said before, Shun is really versatile with hairstyle; he can pull off any look x). Sou's usual look is cute, but the yakuza look when he goes undercover plus the change in attitude is totally hot. It's like Sou got taken over by Genji (Crows Zero) LOL xDD. Oh and Shun's English sounds decent! Shun did really well in this drama :)).

Mizushima Hiro stars as Kudo Maruo, another detective who's very reckless, but is quite skilled too. Maruo is frivolous, but he's kind and very understanding. He's perceptive; which is why he's easily the mood-maker. He's a playboy, but when it comes to real love, he's not such an expert lol. And he's so funny :D! I'd love to have a friend like him :)).

Hiro is back with his usual hairstyle. Of course he looks good with it, but I'd like to see him with his hair straight too xP. (I've only seen it in pictures.) He looks kinda sexy with that unshaven look xDD. It makes him look more mature, which is a good thing 'cos in my opinion he can pass off as a 20-year-old otherwise. But still, he's really cute at the same time! And his eyes still sparkle *__*. Somehow I get the feeling that he's a gentle person ^^. (Or maybe it's just the image of Rihito stuck in my mind LOL.) Ayaka is suuuuch a lucky girl :)).

Maruo is the overly easy-going type, so naturally he makes lame jokes and does funny things, but Sou is always serious and says everything with a straight face, even funny stuff that he doesn't find funny. And it's hilarious when he tries to make a joke LMAO! They are both funny xDD. Sou and Maruo argue a lot about pointless stuff even when they're on duty, which is hilarious LOL. They are so different from each other, but somehow they make good partners :).

(Off-topic: geez, why do people smoke?! Hot guys + cigarettes = NOT HOT. )

I like how Yuki is not another naive baka; she's got some back bone :D. And she's very nice! Yoshitaka Yuriko is very cute :)). I love Sou and Yuki together :DDD. They have very good chemistry. Maruo is very nice towards her too, but he's more like a buddy haha ^^;;.

Sou's family is so lively hahaha. Kousuke (the little kid) is sooooooo cute! Mikami Kensei's (Hiroto) talking voice sounds like Daigo's haha xP. Horikawa is quite cute too :3. Horikawa and Maki are great together, 'cos Maki is mad possessive but Horikawa is stupid enough to not see that LOL. The ending song is by EXILE. I realised that their songs have the same "feel" to them, which is not a bad thing ^^. The opening is cool, and the ending scenes are very beautifully shot :DD.

To end off..

Credits to leaky_sponge. This scene was hilarious LMAO. I love you Shun ♥!

090110 Fly to the Sky fanmeeting.

That picture is hilarious, that's why it's up there xDD.

Brian and Hwanhee celebrated their birthdays with their fans on that day; Brian was born on 10 Jan '81 and Hwanhee on 17 Jan '82, so the fans always celebrate their birthdays together. How coincidental right? They're exactly one year and one week apart :D.

Happy belated 28th to Brian, anyway ♥! Hope you'll never lose your confidence, your faith and most importantly, your humour xD.

P.S. I've been ignoring a lot of artists' birthdays actually, because I don't have the time to do a proper birthday post. Sorry =X!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's 6 hours before school reopens; I'm gonna do my best! I'll just keep thinking about how hardworking Shun is. I never posted about it, but I will, one day, when I will be recounting how I started to pick myself up, haha.

Everyone hwaiting!

Hana Yori Dango Final.

The movie was disappointing, for the most parts. The plot is ridiculous and a lot of parts are boring and draggy, not to mention cheesy. Makino was being so fickle about her relationship with Domyouji, which made me quite irritated.

But the last wedding part was nice, I thought. Makino looked very pretty in her dress and Domyouji was dashing in his suit. Loved how they looked so happy together; I'm hoping they're really together in real life xD. Rui as the priest was kinda EHH, though xP.

I liked how they gave a conclusion to the characters' individual stories. (I'm gonna assume that Nishikado ended up with Yuki, 'cos I quite like them together ^^.) But Rui's was still left hanging and most of the time he was just there, standing/sitting around looking bored/thoughtful/depressed. What a waste of Oguri Shun -.-. And they could have at least given Rui a proper ending! Unless they're thinking of producing a Rui spin-off xP?

Conclusion: the drama is so much better xD.

haishh.

I'm supposed to be studying, you know? Or at least organising my very messy files, or practicing my guitar, or exercising, or at the very least, reading the books that I borrowed. But here I am, re-watching Hana Yori Dango. (I skip some parts here and there.) From the first episode of the first season I was already going ga-ga over Rui, hahaha. Which reminds me why I had saved tons of avatars of him way back then. (Most of which I've already deleted as I found that most of the effects aren't really nice; I saved them just because of him, haha xP.)

I read about 60 chapters of the manga, and found out that Meteor Garden actually followed the manga very closely, whereas HYD didn't. I even went to re-watch some bits of Meteor Garden ><. I liked Hua Ze Lei in Meteor Garden and Rui in HYD, lol xP. They're basically the same characters, but because MG followed the manga more closely, Hua Ze Lei was not only cold; he was almost mean at times. Shun's Rui is slightly different; he was just cold and aloof. So basically, this post has no point at all. I'm just spazzing over Rui, lols. He's just so totally nice and he's always there to protect, encourage and support Makino. (It should be Ma~kino haha xDD.) He believes in her, understands her, always considering her feelings and looking out for her, putting her first. He knows when she's in pain, he knows her pain, he feels her pain. I think it was apparent how he changed from the cold, uncaring Rui he was (towards anyone/anything that didn't matter to him) to the warm and caring Hanazawa Rui after meeting Makino. It's sad that he never got the girl he loved, though. From the very beginning, he had no chance at all =(. But even after all he's given to her, he doesn't expect her to nurse his pain.

I like Tsukasa a lot too; even though he's a childish, self-centered, arrogant, violent baka, he's actually kinda innocent and simple-minded that he seems silly at times, and also kind, even though he doesn't seem so. And his love to Makino is unquestionable. (I have to take my hats off to Matsumoto Jun, who did a splendid job acting as Tsukasa. Shun too, of course ^^!)

I'm a firm Tsukasa/Makino-shipper, but I'm a Rui-fangirl at heart, through and through. RUI ♥______♥.

No, that^ was too calm, too rational, way off from my state of mind right now.

jkgsdhgklasdhgauhgyfkhdhkjdhgkRUI!

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Sorry if you're grossed out, lmao xD.

EDIT: I forgot to add: Hyunjoong, let's see if you can make me fall for your version of Hanazawa Rui! Though I'm expecting myself to, since I seem to really like that character a lot, haha xP.

^Jan Di (Makino) and Ji Hoo (Rui). It's kinda surprising to see him smiling so brightly, haha xD. Oh and random: she's actually older than all of F4, but in the drama it's the other way round, lol xP.

laa.

I finally watched Crows Zero and Kurosagi the Movie. Both movies are decent, but I'm too lazy to do a review. xP Guys would watch Crows Zero for the fighting scenes whereas girls would watch it for eye-candies. There are quite a few good-looking guys there, actually. xD The ending is pretty much expected, but the cast did well on the acting. As for Kurosagi, I think all the girls watched it for Yamapi. Well, I can't blame them. haha. I was hoping for the relationship between Kurosaki and Yoshikawa to progress, but it didn't. Ohwell, I guess the whole focus of the show is Kurosaki alone. They sorta left the ending hanging, so the viewers would have to guess themselves. But it was made clear that Kurosagi would be a black swindler all his life. Quite a sad life, I'd say.

Shun can pull off any hairstyle, for real. xD

hahaha.

I blame PEIRONG for posting the HYD clip. After watching that interview (in which Mao was super shy xD), I clicked on the related videos and stumbled upon a few short clips of Shun. I'm reminded of my love for Hanazawa Rui and of course Shunn! (lol I sound so mushy) Seriously his Rui look kills, man. But Shun himself is totally different from Rui; he's much more dorky and not at all quiet, as you can see here. And he's so so so cute too, just watch! (1 2 3 4)

Which reminds me.. I haven't watched Crows Zero yet! I so badly wanted to watch it since Shun acted as an angry gangsta here and he won Best Actor for it. (and I read some interview that he really felt very angry throughout the entire filming process) hmm. I'm gonna download now and watch after midyears. xD And I haven't even finished watching Stand Up!!. And and he's got a new drama too! shuckss.

kon!

I haven't been doing spazzy posts recently. Not a good sign. So I'm doing this random post out of randomness. lol.

The last drama I watched was Nobuta wo Produce. I'm too lazy to do a long post about it, so look up the story yourself. The main actors are Kame from KAT-TUN and Yamapi from NEWS (short forms), as well as Maki who acted in Hana Kimi. It's pretty enjoyable to watch even though the ending is a bit EHH. The main focus is on friendship, so if you're looking for a lovey-dovey romance story, watch something else.

I really like Akira (Yamapi) here; he's drunk on milk (like o.0) and incoherent 99% of the time (what with the kon!, akira shock! and other random nonsense he says), but he's funny and nice and adorable. Shuji's (Kame) character is like an egg, hard on the outside but actually soft inside. It's very.. real. So real that it reminds me of a certain someone, actually.

^the trio.

Shuji and Akira.. (they can look kinda suspicious haha!)

Some gifs of the weird Akira..

^"kon kon!" (it means nothing, really lol)

^"Nobuta power.. enter!"

^"KO.KO.RO" It's blurry, but it's the coolest moment of Akira throughout the show. Not really, but he did this same thing in another setting earlier in this same episode (ep 4), and that one was WAY COOL, contextually. Go watch!

Both of the guys' acting are good, but I'm more interested in Yamapi now. Not his looks, 'cos I think he looks a bit awkward somehow, like he looks older than his age =X (but he was seriously CUTE when he was young). I'm just wondering how someone who looks that cool (he seems colder than Jaejoong, imo) could pull off a crazy role like Akira. I may watch his dramas some other time. But I'm not gonna go into another fandom. haha.

On the side note, Kangta's new mini album is sooo good. HIS VOICE *.* I really should start working on a music post for him. But before that I NEED MORE OF HIS SONGS. I only have like, pathetic less than 10 songs of his other than the ones from the new album. All the links online are on Megaupload. T.T

EDIT: I just watched the second Detective Conan Special, which by the way, has Oguri Shun acting as Sinichi Kudo. Sometimes I wonder why he gets these cool-guys parts. Maybe 'cos he gives off the feeling that he's cool? (the real him is so NOT cool, though, in a good way!) Anyway, did I tell you that I'm a big fan of Detective Conan manga (even though it's getting too long without any definite development in the main storyline) and that I really like Sinichi? I made lots of caps when I watched the first one (Shun looked awesome there xP), but I didn't for this one. Nothing to do with the Hana Kimi hairstyle, though, since I've concluded that Shun can pull off ANY hairstyle. The ones I've seen so far, at least. xDD That reminds me that I still have lots of his dramas to watch. arghh.

fiction.

I've been watching dramas these days, which explains my lack of posts. So now I feel like taking a break and do short reviews of some of them. During the holidays, I watched 5 dramas: Witch Yoo Hee, Love Generation, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (Japan), Coffee Prince and A Million Stars Falling from the Sky. I feel quite accomplished, really, since initially I was kinda reluctant to start watching any of them.

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e

Initially, I watched this drama for Oguri Shun, and also because I was curious of how different it would be from the Taiwanese version. Shun did a good job portraying the character of Sano. However, I thought this role totally didn't allow him to show his acting capabilities; most of the time all he had to do was to stand there looking cool. He looks good though. xD That aside, I had a good laugh watching the show, mostly because Nakatsu's funny actions and facial expressions. The only complaint I have is that no matter how I looked at Mizuki, she looked like a girl through and through. She might have behaved like a guy in the first two episodes, but from then I couldn't help but wonder why anyone could be fooled into thinking that she was a male. She's really pretty, though. Overall, I think this drama is better than the Taiwanese one, in terms of the male lead's acting (I swear I'm not biased), the story progression, and the ending.

A quote by the dearest Nakatsu:
-----------------------------------------------
If you are hurt, shout it out!
If you want to cry, let it out!
Stop acting cool, you freaking idiot!
-----------------------------------------------
..which are words that I can never say.

bonus:

^Sano!

^ROFL retarded face. xDD

Coffee Prince

I watched this drama for Yoon Eun Hye, since the whole 'girl acting like a guy' thing seems to be the 'in' thing now. I must say that out of the three female actresses that have done this type of role, her actions were the most 'guy-ish' one. I could imagine myself mistook her for a guy if not for her face. I thought that both her and the male lead (Goong Yoo) did a good job in the crying scenes, as somehow I felt like they were drowning in their sorrow when they cried. I laughed a lot too when I was watching him starting to have feelings for her. I enjoyed watching most parts of the drama, except for the parts about the family, which were quite boring. The 'Princes' are really likeable too, whether it's the innocent 'gorilla', the cheerful playboy, or the cool 'waffle-guy'. It's a good drama.

Anyway, to all the homosexuals out there, I'm truly sorry that once upon a time I thought that you guys were weirdos and freaks. I now understand that it must have been hard to accept it yourselves. I know that feelings are uncontrollable, so it's inevitable. It's nobody's fault.

A Million Stars Falling from the Sky
A Takuya Kimura drama. I just finished watching it in two days, and I must say that I got hooked not because it's him, but because of the plot. Out of these five dramas, it's the only one that I didn't fast forward any part because the story is so tense. It's very unexpected, which would probably keep you watching to the end no matter how disturbed you were by the whole darkness of the drama. The actors were all good; I especially liked Akashiya Sanma as Kanzo and Shibasaki Kou as Yuki. Everyone commented that the ending was very sad, but for me, it was a fitting one; I wouldn't want the story to end any other way.

Takuya Kimura acted as Ryo, a cold, unfeeling and cruel man who by the middle of the story, I already deemed as someone wasn't fit to be a human. I suspect that he wasn't really a human inside, actually, since humans are creatures of emotions and it's just impossible to be so unfeeling as him. But anyway, even though it's Takuya Kimura, I wanted Ryo dead. No matter how good-looking he is, how pitiful his past was, or how much he wants to change; someone who had done so much bad things in life didn't even deserve a chance to have a new life. I must give credit to Kimura, though, as he totally convinced me that Ryo was a cold-blooded murderer by his killer eyes (which means beautiful eyes but here it also means the eyes of a murderer), and his slight smile when he was facing someone but a blank and almost evil look when that person turned away from him. There were a lot of kissing (damn he's a good kisser) and killing, but for my part, there was a lot of frustration, disgust and fear. Yes, I was damn bloody scared of him. Which speaks volumes about his acting. However, really, even though this drama totally exploits and shows Kimura's good looks, if you want to just drool over him, DON'T watch this drama. Watch Good Luck!!, Engine, or any other drama of his. Because this may be too emotionally draining for you. Seriously, I'm now still pondering about Ryo's character and imagining how terrible it'd be if someone like him really exists. *shudders*

But now, I'll reward you with pictures of Takuya Kimura.

Say it with me: kakkoiii! xD

Japan craze!

Well, to be honest, actually the main reason of me setting up a blog is just for entertainment purposes. As in, it's for me to post lyrics, dramas, pictures, etc. I won't be posting too many 'personal' stuff, so rest assured, you won't be reading any depressing posts. Ignore the first post, it was totally unplanned. =D

Enough about that. Anyway, recently I've been into Japanese dramas. The most recent one I watched is Great Teacher Onizuka; GTO. I watched it because Oguri Shun acted as one of the kids in it, actually. However from the first episode, I started to like this series. It's a very old one, from 1998. But it's really funny and touching at some parts too. Seriously, you just have to watch it. It's simply of the best yet. ;) Here's the baka Onizuka:

I don't know what his real name is but LOL he looks super funny. xD

Next! Of course, I won't forget to mention Hana Yori Dango. Thanks a lot for the dearest PeiRong who introduced me to this drama (don't say I nvr thank you hor =P). It's the Jap version of Meteor Garden, and I must say that it's much better than its predecessor.

Random; Did I tell you that I really like Hanazawa Rui (cast Oguri Shun)? xD

Acting as the bullied Noboru in GTO. He was only 16 then okay!

and then....

transformation complete! Rui in HYD, 8 years later.

lalala~ <3
