It's a very cute drama! The story is lackluster because of the lack of conflict; everything seems too ordinary. There were some potentially interesting plots which were not developed and was left hanging or ended too abruptly, and sometimes the editing feels choppy. But then again, it has a lot of cute moments which made me smile ^^. After he 16 episodes, be sure to watch the Youtube Special Edition, Making Film and Baek Seung Jo's Diary, all in glorious HD and English-subbed, on the official Youtube channel! Especially the Making Film, 'cos Hyunjoong is ever-hilarious and him and Jung So Min are cute together!

Hyunjoong did well in portraying Seung Jo :). His scenes seemed natural and save for a couple of scenes (because I'm picky that way), the emotions were well played out. The subtle changes in emotion, like a simple curt or the little smiles, were great. I think he improved a lot since Boys Over Flowers. Of course, there's still lotsa room for improvement, especially for the more intense emotions, but I believe he can do it!

And Hyunjoong is the most perfect-looking being on Earth, for real. I mean, seriously, how can one look so insanely gorgeous?! When his hair is wet, I go into total spazzy mode LOL. And when he looks at Ha Ni in a taunting way, I DIE OKAY. His eyes, his smile... I can go on and on and on, but I shall restrain myself haha. Just, GUH *___*. But perfect Hyunjoong aside, Seung Jo is far from being perfect. He's stubborn as a mule and is also a narcissist. But well, I'd kill to have his brain. ROFL.

Jung So Min did really well as Ha Ni, I thought. She was so sincere, so genuine that one can't help but feel for her, even though Ha Ni was so frustratingly annoying sometimes. Her smile is just so real, you can feel yourself smiling with her. And she looks very cute! She looks like Yoon Eun Hye from some angles haha. Her hair is very pretty; it looks really smooth and nice :D.

Seung Jo is a genius with an equally high EQ on normal days, but he likes -- and I mean he gets satisfaction from -- torturing Ha Ni. He said it himself, "It's fun. I live to tease Oh Ha Ni." It so childish 'cos he's like a little kid who can't own up to his feelings, just has to hav

e things his way and never admits to defeat. But I guess that's his way of expressing affection, which albeit questionable, is rather adorable. To us viewers, at least; I think if I were Ha Ni I'd be suuuuper annoyed lol. Still, I think it's a fresh change how in this version, we can clearly see Seung Jo's feelings for Ha Ni growing, even though she didn't find out until much later. And if we were to look closely into their relationship, actually Ha Ni is the one who always gets her way, even if she may not realise it herself haha XD.

At this point, I need to rant. Why do so many people keep asking why Seung Jo loves Ha Ni? I mean, I get that he seems perfect and she, in comparison, hardly seems like someone he would fall for. But people, have you ever experienced what love is like? You don't need a reason to love someone; love knows no reason.

Bong Joon Gu is very likeable! He's a really devoted, sweet guy. His accent is kinda cute too haha. He's just really similar to Ha Ni, though, so he can be embarrassing at times XP. He had that reeeeally ridiculous Elvis hair for a good half of the drama, but after his make-over he looked really good too! I'm happy that he got his own happy ending in the end ^^.

Hae Ra is totally the female version of Seung Jo. How can two people be so alike? Anyway, she is not hateful or anything, but sometimes I suspect she has a bit of a bipolar personality LOL. Lee Si Young is so tall and skinny! And pretty too. I didn't even know that she broke up with Junjin already :/.

Isn't Seung Jo's little brother, Eun Jo, like, the most adorable thing EVER? He's like, such a brat, but he's actually really sweet and shy! He's mature for his age, sensitive, smart and very reliable when the time calls for it. He is my favourite character in this whole drama XDD. LOLOL am I turning into a pedo now?! HAHAHA. But really, I like him a lot! He's such a dear :). And he looks like the mini version of Kim Hyun Joon from V.O.S lol. And and and he's just SOOOO CUTE! And I'm gonna ignore the very last scene of Eun Jo at the ending which shows that he's probably gonna grow up like Seung Jo LOL.

The Baek brothers are adorable okay XD.

I like the other cast members too! Especially Seung Jo's parents. His mum is so cool, but scary in a way haha ^^;;. His father is cute hehehe. The actor who plays Ha Ni's dad is really good at acting too. Oh and Kyung Soo sunbae! He's really kind :).

I think the ending is TOO HAPPY LMAO. Like, everyone has his/her happy ending! That's so unrealistic hahaha. But well, it's a drama so I guess it's fine ^^;;.

This is totally random, but..

..I just have to say something about this lol. Apparently there is a rumour about Jaejoong, Hyunjoong and Yonghwa acting in a new drama with Song Hye Kyo. Seriously, you'd think that I'd be all ecstatic 'cos Jaejoong and Hyunjoong are good friends and Song Hye Kyo is awesome and I admire Yonghwa's musical talent , but I really hope that this rumour is, well, just a rumour. Aside from the fact that I don't have lots of confidence about all the guys' acting (SORRY don't throw stones at me), having Jaejoong and Hyunjoong in one drama would really kill me LMAO. I mean, they're two of the three best-looking KPop guys in my list, and I reeeeally wouldn't be able to take it HAHAHA. That being said, if it really happens, the ratings are gonna be off the roof LOL.

MR Removed performances of KPop groups

Means that the accompaniment track is removed, leaving only the singers' voice. These videos can show to a certain extent how well these singers sing live.

DBSK

Someone commented for one of the videos, "Doing MR for DBSK is pointless.. they're just flawless." WORD. I don't think any group can beat DBSK vocally; they're just totally awesome. Gosh I miss them together :(. Watching JYJ/Yunho/Changmin stuff makes me SO sad I don't even watch them at all. Come back, DBSK!

Big Bang

To be honest, I became a fan of Big Bang('s music) after they released Day by Day, but when I tried watching the live performances of that song, I got so disappointed that I stopped watching their performances completely. I guess I just love that song so much that I had sky-high expectations of their live performances. But now I revise my opinions of them, 'cos they don't sound bad. They sound good, actually. I don't know what performances I watched back then x__x.

SS501

SS501 sings well live, but I must say that they aren't as perfect as some fans (or even I) make them out to be. The individual solo parts always sound great, but in the more intense dance songs, they can hardly be heard in the chorus when the accompaniment track takes over, or only Hyungjoon can be heard.

Super Junior
I think that Super Junior is like SS501; the members sound good individually during their solo parts, but in the chorus, I can only hear Ryeowook's super lonely voice lol ^^;;. Or K.R.Y's, in the more recent performances. I was pleasantly surprised by Heechul, though XD.

Beast

Beast is REALLY good live. Even during Bad Girl days. I'm not saying this because I'm a big fan, either; I guess I got into the fandom so fast 'cos I liked their music and their live performances. I knew they were that good all along 'cos I watch their (later) performances a lot, but these MR Removed videos just prove it. And it's only been 8 months since their debut! Beast is gonna be huge, I'm telling you.

SS501 - Let Me Be The One

This is not an actual MV; just a compilation of behind-the-scenes clips and footages from their concerts and performances. But it's OH-SO-PRECIOUS. It saddens me that the fate of SS501 as a group is still unknown now, but I believe SS501 won't break up. They said they are gonna stay together, and I believe them. TripleS, let's have faith :).

Was browsing around Youtube when I saw the link for this rather old video of SS501. The thing is, this video never gets old; even now, I still laugh like crazy whenever I watch it HAHAHA!

I think laughter is really contagious. The funniest thing about this video isn't actually Jungmin splitting his pants, but his members literally rolling around on the ground, shaking and collapsing in laughter like mad people LOL. I remember that the funniest episode of Super Junior's Exploring The Human Body show was also the one where the members had to inhale laughing gas. That was totally SICK mannn; I laughed until I tears formed in my eyes and the most absurd thing was that I was laughing at them laughing, like WTH?!

LMAO.

Hyungjoon is so hilarious HAHAHAHAHA! I think he'd be an interesting person to hang around with x).

He did a lot of parodies on his radio show, Music High. (1 2 3 4 5 6 7) OMG THESE VIDEOS CRACKED ME UP SO BAD! Why didn't I watch them before o___o. I'm determined to watch/listen to Music High now ^^. Imagine listening to all these at 2 am; LOL this would surely wake me up xP. Anyway, embedded are Brown Eyed Girls' Abracadabra, Super Junior's Bonamana and MBLAQ's Y.

He's so crazy LMAO.

A fan compiled (1 2 3) the Music High covers, and while he sounded great in the serious ones, some parodies almost made me choke LOL! Even when he was playing around, I think he sounded good! It's kinda amazing how he managed to make those sounds, changing his pitch every few seconds HAHA.

He sounds even better when he's singing seriously. (1 2 3 4 5) I think his voice suits R&B a lot.

He's not the best singer around, but I love his voice ♥. And his laughter too xDD.

And you wonder why Hyungjoon is my favourite SS501 member LOLOL.

100605 SS501 Comeback @ Music Core

Let Me Be The One -- They have grey suits on now! Those look good also ^^. Hyunjoong's fringe isn't curly here so that's an improvement from yesterday, but he still looks kinda off to me lol. Kyujong looks really good here, I thought. Again, the performance was vocally stable. Dancing-wise, I think they should practise more to coordinate with each other better, haha ^^;;. Overall it's a good performance though! My favourite part is at 1:15 lolol xPP. About the stage, the pendulum bulb moving back and forth behind is quite distracting ^^;;.

Love Ya

Now instead of just backless outfits, they have translucent sleeves too. I really wish they'll get rid of BOTH outfits FAST. But anyway. Jungmin still sounds quite off during the chorus; I think it has something to do with the pitch not being exactly right. And the dance coordination can be improved. Other than that everything was fine. The cameraman was better today than yesterday, but there weren't any impressive lightings and effects.

100604 SS501 Comeback @ Music Bank

Backstage -- HOW ADORABLE! Everyone looks really good in spiffy white suits. All of them have great hairstyles, except for Hyunjoong whose hairstyle looks kinda hideous and makes him look older than he really is. I think it's the lighting; everyone looks like they're glowing :DD. Kyujong looks like a young boy ^^. And LOL Jungmin is as random as ever xDD.

Let Me Be The One -- I didn't expect this song to have a choreography, haha ^^;;. It's good though! The choreography isn't too intense and it fits the song, and I think it's cool how they started out sitting down, then stood up and at the end sat down again. Some parts were not coordinated enough, though; Jungmin made a mistake in one part and the rest has to do with certain members' personal style being too obvious, lol xP. The performance was great vocally. Youngsaeng's high part was awesome! We can see their hairstyles more clearly here; I think Jungmin and Youngsaeng have the best comeback look :).

Love Ya

AWESOME comeback! Vocally it was good. The boys didn't sound out of breath, and the stick-on mics weren't giving them much problem. Jungmin sounded off-beat during his part in the chorus, but other than that it was all great. The choreography is great and the stage is really impressive, with fireworks and dramatic use of lightings. Loved the dance break in the middle, and THE RAP PARTS OMG! The backless outfits still made me laugh, ROFL. I hate Hyungjoon's hair like that, and I must admit that when he dances and his gelled-up fringe moved I laughed HAHAHA. Hyunjoong's look better than the previous one. Love how loud TripleS was cheering :)). THEY HAD BETTER WIN SOMETHING SOON!

SS501 - Love Ya

AWESOME. I LOVE this song and the MV is great. I like the lighting used in the MV; it makes everything looks pretty. The choreography looks solid. The boys are looking good, even though I'm not sure about the backless-looking outfits. Looking forward to their comeback!

SS501 - Destination

HOLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. Finally, the long-awaited mini album! It only consists of 4 main tracks, which is really little, even less than Rebirth, but it's a very solid release; all the songs are great. Both the first and second tracks are remakes of English songs previously released by other artists, which is disappointing, but that doesn't make the songs less awesome. The boys sound amazing, and somehow, they sound more.. together here, like they're really singing as ONE :). Moreover, mostly we hear beautiful instruments and very minimal autotune, which is great news :D. There are many English phrases here and there, but there's no bad Konglish and they are all grammatically sound, which is good xD. I really wished that they had released a full album, but this mini album is freakin' awesome too. The boys are making a comeback on 4th June; I can't wait :DD!

But I have to get this out of my system: 5 years since debut with only one full (totally awesome) Korean album to their name is DOWNRIGHT RIDICULOUS, DSP; this should be fixed ASAP!

1. Let Me Be The One (그게 나라고..) (That Person Is Me)

An R&B song which sounds soothing and sweet. Love the piano accompaniment. The English phrases in the beginning are by Hyungjoon! Wow he sounds decent ^^. (It's him in the beginning of Love Ya too, by the way!)

2. Love Ya

OMG I LOVE THIS SONG! It's a catchy dance song which sounds almost rock-ish because of the heavy beats. The instruments -- strings and piano -- in the background are so gorgeous *____*. Youngsaeng is awesome with those high notes. Kyujong rapped! He sounds good, I'm surprised ^^. Hyunjoong and Hyungjoon too of course; they're the resident rappers of the group xD. I wonder whose voice that hoarse voice in the chorus is; it sounds like Jungmin. Interesting. Love the layerings near the end! And of course, Hyungjoon's "Andwae~~" at the end is awesome. The teaser for the MV looks very promising too. Baby let me love ya, love ya, love ya~

3. Crazy 4 U

A dance song which would almost feel like a ballad if not for the electronic beats, because of the tempo and piano background. I love the contrast! I like Hyunjoong's rapping near the end x). I think Kyujong's voice suits this song the most ^^. This song was already performed quite some time ago during their concert tour, and I love the choreography! (The video is from their Persona concert DVD, where somehow the sound was edited and we can only hear the CD version, but from the fancams we can see that in reality they performed live.)

4. 영원토록 (Forever)

A ballad! Everyone sounds gorgeous, SIGHHH. It's a song that may not sound that special at first, but gets better after each listen. It's a sweet song, that gives me a hopeful feeling somehow :). I love how the song builds on and everyone sings together in the last minute of the song. Youngsaeng wrote the lyrics ^^. I wanna be with you my love~

5. Let Me Be The One (그게 나라고..) (Acoustic Ver.)

In this version the beats are replaced with guitar, and it sounds very nice too :).

6. Love Ya (Instrumental)

Love this! Usually instrumentals sound kinda empty without the voices, but this sounds wonderful, like it can be a stand-alone track in itself.

I LOVE SS501 ♥♥♥♥♥. Please stay five as one forever, guys!

Gummy 1st Mini Album - Loveless (EP)

There are a few reasons why you should give this mini album a listen:

1. Gummy is an awesome singer with powerful vocals and a great voice.

2. The songs generally fall into the genre of R&B, but they range from slow ballad-y ones, to upbeat ones.

3. THIS MINI ALBUM IS AMAZING AND EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN TO IT. 'NUFF SAID.

1. 그만 헤어져 (Let's Break Up)

This song sounds sad, from the opening piano solo to the way she sings it. The beats start in the chorus, but with those beats, she sounds even sadder to me. Her falsettos are gorgeous, and GUH I love her voice, especially in the verses ♥. This might be my favourite song off this album ^^.

2. Because Of You

This song is so.. heavy. I like how they put those light, fast beats before the chorus, as if preparing us for a chorus with a fast tempo, but then just before the chorus starts, they stop and are replaced by heavier, slower beats, piano and Gummy's voice.

3. 사랑은 없다 (There Is No Love)

I already ranted about this song and the MV here. It's a very good song! I love her "strong, independent woman" image in this song.

4. 남자라서 (As A Man)

An upbeat, sweet-sounding song that totally got me fooled; the lyrics aren't as cheery. But anyway, the MV features Kim Hyunjoong and Jung Ryeo Won! It is super adorable omg, and I think I almost forgot how gorgeous Hyunjoong is LOL. (SS501's comeback is coming soon, by the way :DD.)

5. 어떡해 (What Do I Do)

The instrumental in the beginning is pretty; I wish it was longer. I believe that songs of this type are what Gummy usually sings. I have nothing much to say about this, except that it's nice xP.

6. 구세요 (Feat. Big Tone)

A happy, catchy, almost-cute song that would make one smile. Her voice sounds like Park Bom's in the beginning o__o. Big Tone's voice is a teeny bit annoying for me, but he's still alright.

SS501's recent performances.

I haven't been watching their performances for so long, so there are a lot of them, haha ^^;;. So I'll just list all of them and comment on a few xP. In general the boys perform well, whether it's in terms of vocals or dancing. Hyunjoong is now fine with his high note too :). And do you know how ecstatic I am that they are promoting Only One Day too? VERY ecstatic x). However Hyunjoong messed up the beat during his part at the bridge ^^;;. I actually like Hyunjoong's voice, and that part is actually one of my (many) favourite parts in the song. But like I noticed when I first saw him sing, he messes up the beats sometimes xP. Hyunjoong jiayou ♥!


Love Like This
091120 @ Music Bank | Winning #1 -- I like the black and white outfits! And Hyungjoon's hair is not permed here; it's so much nicer xD. And he dyed it black ^^. Congrats to the boys for winning #1 :DD. They deserve it :).

091121 @ Music Core -- I don't really like the purple ^^;;. Hyungjoon's hair is especially explosive in this LOL.

091122 @ Sharing Love Concert -- This is so far the most ordinary set of outfits haha. I think Kyujong looks like a gangster with the earrings and his hair like that ^^;;.


Only One Day + Love Like This
091031 @ Live Power Music -- There's something different about the way Kyujong sang Only One Day here; it sounds sadder, like he's holding back his tears. Love Like This was lip-synched. Now then I realise how well they've been performing LIVE, 'cos they usually sound almost exactly the same :).

091103 @ MTV The M -- There was an interview with Hyungjoon in the beginning. I don't understand what they were saying, but Hyungjoon and Sunny were the MCs for this show, so they seem close; it's so cute xD. I like how the spotlight shone on whoever was singing during Only One Day. And I love how they were singing to the camera :DD. Jungmin's hair is nice here! Love Like This was lip-synched lol ^^;;.

091106 @ Sukira [Love Like This | Only One Day] -- They did great! Hyungjoon's voice is especially nice here *__*.


Really nice :)). All of them sounded great! Did I say that I really, really love Hyungjoon's voice? I really do :]. I LOL-ed a little when Hyungjoon had to hold the lyrics for Hyunjoong, and when Jungmin had to turn towards the back to sing his parts. Poor Youngsaeng's voice cracked during his high part and he cracked up haha xDD. At the end the evil Jungmin wanted to make him laugh again lol!

SS501 - Love Like This (For You)

It's out! Like I said, I like the choreography :). My favourite scene is 0:32-0:34 xD. I didn't like the scene where they were in the dark and we can only see glimpses of the boys; it's rather annoying ^^;;. I actually paused the MV a few times to learn how they do the L-O-V-E handsign, LOL; it's fun :DD.

I didn't mention this previously, but I do wonder why Hyunjoong's parts are the only ones that sound auto-tuned :S.


091030 Intro + Love Like This @ Music Bank -- The intro was cool :). I like Leader's last move! And YAY for hand-held mics! They sound much better :)). Hyunjoong hit his high note just fine! See, he doesn't need auto-tune DD:. The dance moves were restricted, but I think that's an acceptable trade-off ^^;;. I caught Hyungjoon smiling at 1:24 x). Youngsaeng should cut his fringe; I wonder how he can see xP. And if my very sharp ears aren't failing me, someone's voice cracked, twice, during the chorus when they sang together xDD.

091025 SS501 - Only One Day + Love Like This @ Inkigayo.

OMGOMGOMG they performed Only One Day! It was really well done too :)). Hyunkyu sounded nervous xP. Jungmin totally nailed his parts! The last part by Youngsaeng made me melt *__*. Everyone has nice hair and looks fly! Hyungjoon looks so awesome like that :DD.

Love Like This was okay, vocally. Hyunjoong's voice cracked once; I'm sorry Hyunjoong, I laughed a little xP. Other than that there were no other mishaps x). Did you catch Hyungjoon's wink at 3:14? xDD And and Youngsaeng was TOTALLY flirting with the camera at 3:58 and 4:06; LOLOL I loved that xD. Hyungjoon has his curly explosive hair again; whyy DD:. He must have got it curled again during the break, LOL. Luckily Hyunjoong didn't make his hair into devil-horns, HAHA xD. They were wearing tattoo-shirts which I don't like very much; the other set of outfits looked better :S.

091024 SS501's comeback @ Music Core.

There was a short Intro, where the spotlight showed four of them one by one, standing there forming L-O-V-E with their hand, and Hyunjoong emerged from bellow the stage forming a heart. (Special treatment for Leader, eh? ^^;;) Youngsaeng looked totally bad-ass while Jungmin winked, lol xD.

Next they performed Love Like This. They were using those stick-on mics (I don't know the proper term but it's not the hand-held ones xP); I think that's why they sounded too soft at some parts. They've improved vocally, though! Jungmin sounds the best in this performance, I feel. I know some fans don't like the choreography, but I like it :). They all did great! And I think the cameraman is a fan of Hyunjoong; he got lotsa screentime xD. I love how Jungmin is so smiley throughout the performance, and Kyujong too during the bridge.

As for their looks -- I don't like Hyungjoon's curly explosive hair, but he managed to pull it off and I love him no matter what, so it's okay x). I don't like the way Hyunjoong spiked his hair; it looks like a devil's horn. I usually don't have any issues with SS501's clothes 'cos like I said before, I think they have the best stylists, but I don't like that shirt Hyunjoong is wearing inside =X. I think everyone looks great, though :).

I think in terms of their comeback look, Youngsaeng wins hands-down :D. I like his hairstyle! And he has apparently been practising his !smexy look xP. Did you see him looking at the camera at 2:49? SO ADORABLE! I think I died xDD.

There are quite a few new boybands debuting and some other artists making their comebacks recently, so I hope SS501 can get the awards in the music shows. They totally deserve it! *crosses fingers* Come on, TripleS! :D

After listening to the mini album a few times, I decided that this mini album is too awesome to not review, haha xD. The boys sound amazing in every track ♥.


















1. Wasteland
Totally love the piano! It's an upbeat song, and one of the typical SS501 songs, which is a good thing x).

2. Love Like This (네게로) (To You) (fancam)
A very catchy song! It's techno, but I think their voices aren't too computerised, so it's still fine. And I like how Hyungjoon is the main singer in the choruses. His voice suits the song very well! (And I'm just biased, WHAT.) It's the title track of the mini album, and the teaser for the MV is out! But I'm gonna spare you my spazzing and spazz over the full MV when it's out xD.

3. 하루만 (Only One Day)
I LOVE THIS SONG LIKE, WHOA. It's a ballad, and a very pretty one at that. The boys sound absolutely gorgeous. Jungmin did a good job in building up the momentum of the song. My favourite part is the first part of the first chorus, sung by Hyungjoon. I don't know, there's something about the way he sings it that makes me go *_____*; I think it's the way he sings it quietly and the way his voice quivered in the last note. I listened to this song on repeat last night on my iPod, and seriously, I melted many times over. This song might just be my new favourite SS501 song :).

4. Obsess (중동...) (Poisoning...)
An R&B-ish song. By the end of the song you'd be singing along, "I'm obsessed with you, wanna be with you~"

5. 완.두.콩. (Green Peas)
This is a very sweet song that was written for Triple S :). The guitar background is really nice! The song is very relaxing, especially with the sound of the beach in the background ^^. I like how at the end they were saying to each other, "Good job!" haha xD.

SS501 - 하루만 (Only One Day)

SS501'S NEW MINI ALBUM IS FINALLY OUT! *HAPPY TEARS*

That was me exaggerating, but I'm honestly ecstatic! It's been eons since the group released their first album so I was kinda disappointed that instead of a full second album they decided to release a mini album with only 5 songs, but the whole mini album is really awesome, so I have no complaints :D.
