Dream High

I know that everyone has probably watched this drama, but I'm just going to say that if you haven't already, GO WATCH IT. It's really, really good.

The only thing I can criticise about this drama is the lacklustre acting in a few scenes by some of the actors. Most of the time they did well, though. But just for this reason, this drama can't quite make it into my favourite dramas of all time. Still, it's probably one of the dramas I most enjoyed watching :).

I want to whine that I had wanted a different main pair to get together in the end because they had been with each other through their most difficult moments and they knew each other, but even as I'm typing this I realise that the same can be said for the other couple, so I'll shut up and grudgingly congratulate them for finding each other XD. (Who am I kidding, I like them together actually ^^.)

My favourite scenes out of the whole drama are the singing/dancing ones, because that highlights what the whole drama is about: the kids' passion for music. The songs are good too! (One example.) And well, probably the Jason/Pilsuk scenes as well, which made me squeal till no end at the cute. Or the bro/sismance between all the characters, which are adorable and hilarious at the same time. Or how totally awesome some of the characters are (Teacher Kang!), by themselves. Okay I'm listing practically everything, because I really do love everything about this drama :). The writers did a splendid job in writing the storyline and characters!

Just watch it ^^.

I got into fandoms for the music, for the personalities, for the crack and laughter. I got into fandoms for entertainment. I like songs, dramas and movies that can make me cry, but I don't need drama in real life.

Back then when there were lotsa controversies surrounding Jaebum's departure from 2PM, I lost interest in the band. Besides, honestly speaking, though the members were entertaining, 2PM's music didn't appeal to me then. Now that things have settled down can I really sit down and give 2PM and its current music a chance, without having to fret over those issues.

Now bigger problems are happening to DBSK. It used to be just lawyers and representatives talking, but now the members themselves are starting to talk. Even their friends are speaking out. We don't know the whole picture, and that is equivalent to not knowing anything at all. I can't judge who is right and who is wrong, and the thing is, I'm not sure I want to. All I want to know is whether they'll ever be together again. I used to think that I'd support all of them, no matter as five, three or two, but right now, I can't. It hurts too much. I don't know what hurts more, listening to old DBSK songs that I know and love or listening to new JYJ/DBSK songs that I'm not familiar with and don't even like.

The DBSK that I fell in love with had five members who were each other's pillars of support, who went through everything together and were closer to each other than real family members are. The DBSK that I fell in love with did not sound like JYJ, or the current DBSK. These two groups are foreign to me; I don't know them. With DBSK, as a fan, I'd have an obligation to listen to their songs over a period of time, after which even the ones I didn't like after the first listen tend to grow on me. But with these two groups, I don't have such an obligation. I don't have to force myself to repeatedly listen to their songs, which bring to me nothing but sadness.

I'm not blaming the members, for I'm sure they're hurting much, much more than I am. They have the right to say whatever they want without having to consider the impact their words, which can be as short as 140 letters, might have on their fans. But right now, I can't close my eyes and ears and "keep the faith", because with whatever that is happening, it doesn't even seem like the members are keeping the faith.

The 2PM I know now has 6 members, and I like that just fine. I still think that Jaebum is great and I'll support his works if they are to my liking. Similarly, maybe, after DBSK clearly states their stand and things have calmed down, I'll give them another listen, whether it's as one or two groups. It'll take a while, though, since the emotional attachment I had with 2PM can't even begin to be compared to that I had with DBSK.

But for now, I'll opt for other artists; the ones whose songs make me smile because of the sweetness of the melody or cry because of the sheer emotion in their voices, the ones who make me laugh at their antics without feeling sad because it's just not the same anymore.

Be strong, Jaejoong, Yunho, Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin.

Interviews of 2PM and MBLAQ in Singapore with ScanationSG

MBLAQ

LOL they are so hilarious! G.O is so random LMAO he made me laugh so much! Oh anyway after the concert, G.O became my favourite member! Not that it matters actually since I'm not even a fan of MBLAQ XP.

2PM
Taecyeon's answer to what he'd do when he falls for someone at first sight was SO funny: "I would probably yell something out loud, or do something crazy to get her attention, and she'll be like, 'What a crazy person', she'll walk away. HAHAHA that's so Taecyeon-like. Anyway I'm in the midst of watching Wild Bunny (along with SHINee's Hello Baby ^^) and I like Taecyeon! Despite his image and appearance, he's really a dear :).

041210 Mnet Ultimate Live Asia in Singapore

The sound system sucked. It totally did not do their voices justice, and I'm angry at that :/. (Or maybe because I was standing directly in front of the speaker, since somehow in my fancams the sound was actually not as bad as I thought it was.) Still, even with the mic glitches and horrible speaker, the artists did well. I had lotsa fun! We were very close to the stage and a lot of times we could see them quite clearly :). All of them look the same as they do on screen, which means that they look damn good XD.

First was MBLAQ! Lee Joon is so good-looking *__*. His dance solo was awesome! G.O is a really good singer. I was so surprised to realise that he looks a lot like Rain lol.

Next was Miss A! Suzy didn't come, but the other 3 members did well all the same. I felt that they weren't receiving enough cheers so even though I'm not a fan, I cheered for them really loudly hehe. During their performances there were quite a number of mic glitches; organiser/sound manager/whoever I'm looking at you -.-. Anyway, because Min is from America while Jia and Fei are from China, they totally did not need any translator haha!

Third was 2AM! They performed 7 songs. Gosh they were totally amazing IDE *___*. You Wouldn't Answer My Calls almost sent me straight to heaven HAHA. I nearly cried a few times because of Jokwon's singing too. Aside from his incredible vocals he danced girl group dances and some ssanti dances too; he's just too awesome hahaha! Changmin was speaking in English, which surprised me ^^. The members each gave out a teddy bear to the audience too!

Next was Beast! They were wearing their yellow set of Beautiful outfit. They performed 9 songs, which was awesome. They performed well! One of the songs was Clenching A Tight Fist, which made me giddy with happiness 'cos I really love that song and the members hit all the right notes, but also irritated again because of the sound system D:<. Hyunseung was receiving way too little cheers (it made me a little mad, even though he isn't even my bias -.-), so I cheered as much as I could for him. He sounded really good! Dongwoon was so friendly to the fans as usual; he's such a dear :D. Yoseob pulled off the "I don't know~" in Breath perfectly omg I'm so happy to finally witness it live. He didn't look that energetic, though, which is obviously because he is really tired :(. Sigh I'm really worried about him :/. Beast has a craaazy schedule. Be strong, boys!

Last was 2PM! They received the loudest cheers for the night, and every member got lotsa cheers. They performed a whopping 12 songs, had a few changes of costume, put on angel wings for one song and gave out roses. They were the best in ensuring all of us could get a clear view of them, as they went to all parts of the stage, stayed for some time and then switched sides. Honestly speaking I was really tired after cheering with all my might for Beast, but surprisingly, I recovered and found myself enjoying their performances. I really should have taken more fancams of them, but I was really too tired ^^;;. Nichkhun is simply flawless guh, and there's something charming about Taecyeon. Somehow my eyes kept finding Wooyoung, though, I don't even know why XP.

I took a lot of fancams, but because they were all taken using my phone, the picture and sound quality are bad =X. I realised that my Beast fancams are so shaky since I was so distracted because they kept running around and I was cheering too; they are painful to watch lol ^^;;.

I gave a few "firsts" to this concert; the first time staying out for something other than a school camp, the first time some stranger made a pass at me (lol it was hilarious), the first time I tried queuing overnight for something, the first time I went for a full free-standing concert. All in all, I really enjoyed this concert, but really, next time, there's no more queuing overnight/super early for me! I'll just come like one hour before the official queue starts and be contented about being able to listen to them live. Yeah :).

2AM - 전활 받지 않는 너에게 (You Wouldn't Answer My Calls)

It's a nice song! 2AM sounds really good in this song, as usual. At first I didn't like this song that much, since it sounded just like a typical sad ballad, but after watching the live performance I was completely wow-ed and I'm liking this song a lot more now! It's such a sad song, because of the way it is sung.

The MV is confusing at first; you have to watch it more than once to get an inkling of what happened. The boys look okay, I guess, but because of the sad songs they always have to look so emo lmao.

I like this song more than Like Crazy, which is not bad too. Favourite line from that song: Jinwoon's last line in the second verse. This song is even more EMOOOOO gosh. Everyone's crying! Surprisingly, though, what I found most impactful wasn't Jokwon's heartbreaking expressions and teardrops, but the tears in Changmin's eyes, coupled with the look on his face, at 2:38.

I'll get to listening to 2AM's new album soon! And I'm happy that I'll be able to listen to them live in December :DD. I just hope that I'll make it through the concert alive, 'cos Jokwon's singing might just break my heart into pieces LOL.

Off to listen to the live version of You Wouldn't Answer My Calls a hundred more times XD.

101028 2AM Comeback @ M!Countdown

I keep listening to 2AM's comeback performance of You Wouldn't Answer My Calls, lol. They are so good! And Jokwon is killing me with his singing, omg ;____;. Seriously, what's up with these '90 guys?! First it was Hongki, then Jokwon, then now Yoseob is kinda like that too... -.-.

Will post the song properly when I have the chance to, 'cos blogging using handphone is a bitch, haha.

EDIT:
The full comeback stage, with Like Crazy.

Some of Beast's recent videos ^^.

From the most recent first!

/Breath teaser

The song sounds promising, but omg I want to see what happens in the MV! Which indicates that this is a damn good teaser lol. The set of the MV looks reeeally good. Hyunseung and Kikwang were dancing topless in the rain, which I'm sure got lotsa fangirls squealing, but not me XP. But JUNHYUNG, OMGGGG. His hair looks awesome; I'm glad he changed his hair colour to a darker one. And seriously how can anyone look that hot just lying down like that damn *____*. Can't wait for the full MV to be released! And Beast's 3rd mini album, Mastermind, is gonna be out on the 30th YAY :DD.

100923 @ MBC Dance Battle -- I actually skimmed through all the girl group performances to spot Beast's reactions, and haha fanboy Beast is cute, especially Yoseob XDD.

Beast vs MBLAQ dance battle -- Beast's part was a little messy, I thought, but it was so fun and entertaining, especially Dooseob and Junseob's parts XD. I think Yoseob's facial expressions when he dance are really good; that kinda reminds me of Yunho lol. MBLAQ's was alright, but I think they allocated too much time for Lee Joon's solo part, which was actually good, but still ^^;;. Lee Joon was so funny at the end LOL. The result segment was the best part, imo, 'cos Kikwang corrected Kim Gura's pronounciation of his name (Kikwang is CUTE), he danced the "American dance" on Kim Gura's request which the Beast members had great reactions to, some Junseob, Yoseob's just drinking water when the rest of the member collapsed as MBLAQ won, and Dooseob clapping for MBLAQ at the end.

Jung Juri (feat. Kikwang) - I Need A Boy -- Jung Juri's singing voice is a bit ^^;;, but they both did very well with the dance. And when the crowd were facepalming, having o__O and "NOOOO!" expressions, Kikwang still looked perfectly alright, with the smile on his face and didn't miss a step. This, is actually one of the reasons why I like Kikwang so much :). They lost though :(.

IU - Queen -- Just because fanboy Yoseob is totally ADORABLE, lmao! He was being so hyper, singing and dancing along throughout the song. Kikwang and Hyunseung, and even Sohyun (4Minute) were trying to restrain him at some point lol. IU is pretty, very cute and talented :). The result segment was so adorable; IU wasn't feeling condident but Chae Yeon mentioned that Beast was really high when she performed (or something along that line) so IU winked at them and Yoseob and Kikwang DIED! I really think she should have won, but when she lost Beast was like "WTF" at the back (even though their team won) HAHAHA I love them fanboys XD.

Kikwang, Changmin and Jinwoon @ Fantasy Star Couple -- Singing 2AM's Can't Let You Go Even If I Die and Beast's Shock, while doing muscle exercises. Muscles do nothing to me, but this is so HILARIOUS omg!

100919 Shock (Remix) @ Hallyu Dream Concert

The little remix at the beginning was neat! The boys did great, as usual. Like I said, I LOVE how Yoseob shouted, "OH! OH! OH!" at the end; I think I must have replayed that part 10 times HEHE. Hope he'll do that for every future Shock performance! Junhyung's hair was totally ridiculous then LOL. The rest of the members looked the same, except for Yoseob who had his hair a little permed, which looked great on him.

100904 Special @ Incheon Korean Music Wave -- An old-ish performance that I watched before, but I just wanna say that Yoseob's throat was still recovering at that time so he was offered to lipsynch but he sang live and sounded pretty damn good :)). And the boys looked so good in black :D.

100912 F.T Island - Love Love Love @ Inkigayo

Awesome performance! I think Hongki's voice has recovered :). The stage is really pretty! Is it just me, or is Hongki looking especially good today o__o? Seunghyun looks good here too XD.

They won #1 again too :DD! It's a pity they weren't there to receive the award though. Hope they'll continue their winning streak and get the triple crown!

Random: Jokwon was one of the MCs. Has his speaking voice always been that cute?! LMAO.

Personal Taste

This drama left my mouth agape in shock quite a few times, which is a first for me lol ^^;;. Watch with caution, 'cos land mines are everywhere LOL. I love how this drama is different from the typical dramas, and I can't say anymore without letting out major spoilers, so I'll stop here. Do watch it!

We have a lot of those female leads whose characters seem like too kind, too stupid, for no reason. Gae In is different; she seems to know that her views on certain things are different from the norm, but she's honestly confused about why that is so, for she feels that she's right. I love Son Ye Jin's acting here. Everything she does seem very natural; it doesn't seem like she's acting at all. Thumbs up! She was very good in acting out Gae In's vulnerability. I burst into tears when Gae In said that she wouldn't mind marrying Jin Ho even if it's just as a cover-up in episode 10. Seriously, OUCH. And she's very adorable :)). I think she looks kinda like Han Ga In. Both are pretty ^^.

Lee Min Ho is handsome. No, scratch that. He's not, actually. He's got a nose that makes him look mean and he's not all that special-looking. But he's got eyes that would draw you in. His gaze says that he knows more than he lets on, and if he has that gaze with teary eyes -- which I think is his forte -- I'd bet you wouldn't be able to tear your eyes off him. And he's slim, tall and he has loooong legs, which make him look good in whatever he wears. I like his fashion here too; the casual office wear is nice. OKAY I SHOULD STOP TALKING ABOUT HIS LOOKS. *ahem*

I think Lee Min Ho chose the right role to act, after Boys Over Flowers. They are similar but can't be more different. Jun Pyo is cute because he's silly, Jin Ho is cute because he's innocent; Jun Pyo keeps a straight face and has an air of arrogance, Jin Ho keeps a straight face and has an air of cool nonchalance. Jun Pyo turned hard in the later episodes because of circumstances, Jin Ho turned himself hard because of circumstances. The angst, man; THE ANGST. He's so conflicted inside that I find it hard even looking at him. He's so complicated, from his past, down to his expressions. He's so serious, but thinking about how he grew up, it makes sense. I like how matter-of-fact he is. Lee Min Ho did so well in portraying Jin Ho! I love his little smile when he thinks about/looks at Gae In, and his complicated expressions. He got lotsa close-ups, which allowed him to show off his acting. Seriously, how come I hadn't seen him before BOF o___o?!

Chang Ryul is such a wimpy jerk, but he's not heartless and he's such a softie that I can't hate him. BUT he's such a contradicting, fickle good-for-nothing that he makes me so mad sometimes. I liked him A LOT better when he wasn't such an immature asshole, though, which was in Episode 12. That has a lot to do with Kim Ji Suk, whom I find to be very likeable, actually ^^. Really, if from the beginning Chang Ryul was a nice guy who was as adorable as he became in that episode, Jin Ho would have a serious competition HAHA!

I forgot that Seulong was in this drama, haha ^^;;. He looks so young here! I think something looks off with his hair though; it looks too flat. And the make-up artist went overboard with his lipstick, lol. He's cute though x).

I LOVE Sang Jun! He's SO HILARIOUS LOLOL. I love how he totally pulled off the "gay" part, and how unabashedly frivolous he is. In Hee is a beautiful bitch, and while I don't agree with the saying that we should be more forgiving to beautiful people, her being a bitch doesn't change the fact that she's SO PRETTY. But she's a crazy, shameless bitch, alright. The actor who played Director Choi is SO good, like seriously. He didn't get that much screen-time, but he made me feel really sorry for/uncomfortable because of/with him. His portrayal of Director Choi killed me, a lot of times.

The NG scenes are so adorable! The cast seems very close :).

Favourite line from the drama: "Let's go out and fight some more." HAHAHA!

AND AND one of the soundtracks, the song Like A Fool by 2AM, is now my favourite song of the band. It's SUCH an awesome song.

100131 2AM + Beast - Champion @ Inkigayo

Why did I not see this special stage before?!

Anyway. It's such an adorable performance, especially since 2AM and Beast are good friends with each other :)). The solo parts are all raps, so it's cute seeing all the non-rappers rapping haha XD. Needless to say, Doojoon and Junhyung did the best, but the rest did a decent job too! Kikwang's part is just so cute; I don't even know why HAHA. Jokwon is SUCH a good dancer. It's quite a pity that he isn't in a dance group.

If you listen closely to the chorus, you can totally tell when Yoseob was singing and when he wasn't. Because when he was, there would be one very stable, clear voice which stood out, and when he wasn't, it would just sound like a few voices singing together. And I'm NOT just saying this because he's my bias. Plus he was sick that day! I had a feeling that he was when watching this performance, since he kept looking down and after his solo part he was panting so hard. And I confirmed it after watching Beast's performance on that day. If people were to watch only the special stage, they wouldn't be able to tell that he was sick.

Okay so anyway. 2AM+Beast rock :D.

MR Removed performances of KPop groups

Means that the accompaniment track is removed, leaving only the singers' voice. These videos can show to a certain extent how well these singers sing live.

DBSK
Someone commented for one of the videos, "Doing MR for DBSK is pointless.. they're just flawless." WORD. I don't think any group can beat DBSK vocally; they're just totally awesome. Gosh I miss them together :(. Watching JYJ/Yunho/Changmin stuff makes me SO sad I don't even watch them at all. Come back, DBSK!

Big Bang
To be honest, I became a fan of Big Bang('s music) after they released Day by Day, but when I tried watching the live performances of that song, I got so disappointed that I stopped watching their performances completely. I guess I just love that song so much that I had sky-high expectations of their live performances. But now I revise my opinions of them, 'cos they don't sound bad. They sound good, actually. I don't know what performances I watched back then x__x.

SS501
SS501 sings well live, but I must say that they aren't as perfect as some fans (or even I) make them out to be. The individual solo parts always sound great, but in the more intense dance songs, they can hardly be heard in the chorus when the accompaniment track takes over, or only Hyungjoon can be heard.

Super Junior
I think that Super Junior is like SS501; the members sound good individually during their solo parts, but in the chorus, I can only hear Ryeowook's super lonely voice lol ^^;;. Or K.R.Y's, in the more recent performances. I was pleasantly surprised by Heechul, though XD.

2 3 4

Beast
Beast is REALLY good live. Even during Bad Girl days. I'm not saying this because I'm a big fan, either; I guess I got into the fandom so fast 'cos I liked their music and their live performances. I knew they were that good all along 'cos I watch their (later) performances a lot, but these MR Removed videos just prove it. And it's only been 8 months since their debut! Beast is gonna be huge, I'm telling you.

2 3 4

Shinee
Shinee is very good live, and you can count on my words because I'm not a fan. It's a pity I don't fancy their songs much.

Other groups: 2PM | SNSD | 4Minute (1 2)

2AM - 바보처럼 (Like A Fool)

You should know what drama I'm watching now right xP. Anyway, everyone sounds wonderful! Jokwon's voice SIGHHH. Well actually, it's more of his singing than his voice. I love 2AM :)). Watch the recording of the song! Jinwoon is so silly haha ^^.

100325 Beast winning #1 @ M!Countdown

FINALLY! I wasn't surprised to see Dongwoon crying a river (LOL don't mind me), but it was kinda unexpected that Junhyung cried so much as he has such a tough exterior haha. Almost everyone cried, except for Hyunseung who looked stoned; he must be in shock (no pun intended!) haha. Kikwang held it in during the speech but totally broke down during the encore. Leader was so sweet; he comforted the members when they were crying hard, even when he himself cried too :3. They totally deserve this award, since I've watched how good they are live. (I've been watching all of their performances LOL ^^;;. They changed a bit of the choreography recently, by the way.) Congrats, guys :DD! SO BEAST ♥♥♥!

The encore was adorable hahaha. Most of them were crying so they either didn't sing or sing while crying lol. Hyunseung and Yoseob were singing almost normally though. So we get to hear Yoseob's sexy "'Cos I'll be there~" background part LOLOL.

I love how 2AM was being such a good sport, hugging the Beast members, congratulating and looking genuinely happy for them :). Jokwon was jumping up and down gleefully at the beginning of the encore LMAO. WHY ARE YOU SO AWESOME JOKWON.

Warning: start of ranting.

During award acceptance speech, there are a few types of reactions: one, straight away break down and cry, and not able to say anything; two, be completely stoned and again, not say anything; three: be very calm, finish saying the speech with a happy face; four, hold back one's tears and say the speech. Out of these reactions, I've always had a soft spot for the fourth. Like Hyunjoong who said SS501's best new artiste award acceptance speech with his face screwed up and his voice breaking every two seconds 'cos he was trying so hard not to cry. Like Yoseob who looked all flustered while he said the speech until Doojoon took over, looked all happy and sang all his parts and some of the other members' parts during the encore, turned his back away from the audience, stood very still and tilted his head up (I bet he was about to cry then), then turned back around and continued singing normally, even when his voice changed at some parts. I don't know, I find that very endearing.

ILU, YOSEOB ♥.

2AM - 잘못했어 (I Did Wrong)

2AM's new song! It's very different from their usual stuff; rapping and autotune never did go with 2Am before, lol ^^;;. I can't really make out who's rapping, but I think I heard Jinwoon and Changmin. It's still all good, though; I like how they're trying new stuff. I don't care much for the lyrics of the song, but the song itself is nice! They all sound very good as always. I realised that Seulong is singing so little in this song haha ^^;;. Jinwoon is singing the chorus; that's new xD. (If I close my eyes and listen to him singing, I can still mistake it for Hyungjoon lol xP.) I usually don't really like "hard" voices (I describe voices using words like "thin", "thick", etc lol, I'm weird like that xDD), but there's something about the slight hardness in Changmin's voice when he hits the higher notes, that I like. And I like Jokwon's singing.

I have a lot to say about the MV (LOL)! That last picture they all took together is adorable :DD. The storyline common -- some guys liking the same girl, then I think the girl fell sick; lol doesn't that sound like Big Bang's Day by Day MV haha. I'm more interested in how the four guys' friendship changed though. I mean, look at how close they were when they were cute little kids! And then they became all bad-ass in high school o_O. The storyline isn't really clear here, so I hope there's a second part to this MV. As for the members, everyone is probably drooling over Seulong looking hot with the leather jacket and motorbike, but seriously my eyes were on Jokwon the whole time. There's something oddly attractive about him in this MV -- I think it's the whole DJ thing, with headphones slung over his shoulder and cool attitude. And I LOVE that scene where the girl danced beside him when he was DJ-ing, then he put on his earphone on her, then looked at her, looked down and smiled. SO PRETTY GUH *__*. Jinwoon really needs a new hairstyle and hair colour :S. That girl is pretty :D.

I like 2AM :)).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way, I realised that I've pretty much lost interest in variety shows. Am I growing old or what, lol ^^;;. I do still fangirl a lot over awesome music though :D.

2AM - 친구의 고백 (A Friend's Confession)

I love this song, especially the chorus :)). I've been wanting to check out 2AM's songs since I heard Jokwon singing this song at Strong Heart (and because 2AM is a ballad group; of course we can never get enough of ballads right xDD), but it kept slipping off my mind. I had never paid much attention to the band (and 2PM too, because seriously, 2AM+2PM= One Day?!), but Jokwon is famous for being downright hilarious. He's such a diva LOL. And aside from the personality that seems to be totally made for the entertainment industry, he's got a nice voice and sings well. Ironically enough, his looks, diva (screen) personality and his voice remind me of Brian xD. But anyway! All of the 2AM members sing very well. I watched a few live performances (1 2 3) of theirs, and they're all good :). Changmin's voice can hit crazy high notes o__o. Is it just me or does Jinwoon's voice sound like Hyungjoon? Seulong is good-looking xP.

This has nothing to do with this song, but the MV of their newest single from their first mini album, Can't Let You Go Even If I Die, is so beautifully-shot *___*. And those lyrics are heartbreaking ;__;.

Whether you're going to go or leave, fix my heart first.

Lastly, one more video!

090516 2AM + 2PM - A Friend's Confession + Again & Again @ Music Core

Honestly it wasn't much of a collaboration, since it was only Junsu and Jaebum joining 2AM near the end of the performance. Both groups performed well, but my favourite part is definitely Jaebum's rap! It's so cool how he fit the rap into the ballad. And the lyrics of the rap are really good. (Check the comments!) He's got a great sense of rhythm :).

ARGH Jaebum needs to come back like, NOW.

Oh anyway 2AM and 2PM have their own combined tag now xD.

2PM - 기다리다 지친다 (Tired of Waiting)

There's too much autotune in this song to my liking; I can barely make out their voices. But still, it's a very catchy song! I like it better than Heartbeat, haha.

I'm not even a fan of 2PM, but seriously, Jaebum, come back! He was the member that caught my attention (after Nichkhun) and when he left I just stopped trying to get into the fandom. I've been watching a few of older 2PM videos today and it sucks to be reminded time and again that Jaebum isn't there anymore x__x.

Some recent performances ^^.

V.O.S first!

큰일이다 (In Trouble) performances:
090618 @ M!Countdown -- Does Jiheon sound kinda strained at some parts, or is it just me? Good performance as usual, though. Jiheon's hair looks good! But what happened to Kyungrok's DD:? Anyway, they got #1 that day! Congrats, guys :))! Jiheon was about to cry, awww. But they still performed the encore perfectly fine ^^.

090619 @ Music Bank -- Something is wrong with Hyunjoon's voice! He didn't sing his "hmmm~" part in the beginning and most of his solo parts were sung by Kyungrok. It's obvious that his voice wasn't in its usual condition 'cos usually he'd belt out and sing a lot of adlibs. Mann :(. Other than that the performance was fine, though.

090620 @ Music Core

Hyunjoon's voice is back! I'm so relieved ^^. Everyone nailed their parts, as usual :). Anyway, Music Core has been really putting in effort to decorate their stages, huh?

Performances aside, I've been listening to To Luv..., another song off their new mini album.

It was composed by Hyunjoon and features Jaebum from 2PM (the leader and the cute dorky guy with the 6 packs xP). Hyunjoon can dance, anyway, so that may explain why the songs he composes are more upbeat ^^. I like how V.O.S is not just about ballads. I love the song; it's so addictive and makes me wanna dance! LOL. I like the rap parts too! Jaebum's rapping reminds me a bit of G-Dragon's last time before it evolved to how it is now, lol. I like his "argghh" at 1:38 too somehow, hahaha! I might start listening to the 2PM's songs that are just lying there doing nothing in my music folder xP.

I like V.O.S :). I think my favourite voice is Kyungrok's, which is kinda hoarse and is the lowest amongst the three. He expresses the emotions of the songs very well, I feel. And he's hilarious, at least in the cuts I've seen xD. (Wished there were more V.O.S videos subbed. Or any, at all =[.) Jiheon always does the falsettos, which are so crazily high omg o___O. Hyunjoon does the adlibs and the non-falsetto high parts. I love his adlibs, really; they always make me go *_________*. And for that reason, he's my favourite member xD. I still don't know who is the best singer though; they all sing so well!

090619 SS501 - Deja vu @ Asia Pacific Modeling Contest
-- It's lipsynched, so I won't say anything about the vocals -.-. It was a good performance, though! Everyone looks fly and the dancing is all good. Youngsaeng has been working on his !sexy expression, huh ^^. My favourite part in this song is the one where Hyungjoon jumps over Hyunjoong before his rap part; super cool :D. I don't mind Hyungjoon's hair so much now, I think he looks okay with it. Hyunjoong's hair isn't all curly, thank goodness x).

090620 DBSK - Stand by U @ Music Fair

First performance of the song! Love Jaechun's harmonization in the beginning. Jaejoong sounded a bit off in the first chorus, Yunho was slightly off-tempo in the bridge and Yoosu had like one pitchy note, but other than that it was all good! I'm not liking something about how Jaejoong sounds, but I can't pinpoint what :S. (Like uhm, too much air and the voice doesn't come out as clearly? IDK.) Changmin totally nailed his parts :D. Junsu is still the only one who sounds sad, lol. But at least they all look quite sad xPP. Yoochun's hair o_____O *is speechless*.

Mnet Scandal ep 1 &2; NichKhun (2PM).

Credits: Madam2PMSubs @ youtube

^part 1 of episode 1; you can find the rest of episode 1 & 2 at the uploader's account.

Apparently it's a show where a celebrity dates a non-celebrity for 7 days. I have only watched the first episode, but I'm going to watch episode 2 right after this. Seriously, I am not even a fan of NichKhun (I find him super cute but that's all 'cos I don't know anything about him), but I'm totally envious of the girl (MinSun). He seems like a really nice person; very considerate and down-to-earth. And they are kinda cute together. I like how they have very natural skinships :). I can don't even need to imagine that his (and 2PM's) fans are going green from jealousy, haha!

Not really related, but she's also the ex-girlfriend of Kim Bum. Wow is she a hottie magnet or what 0___0.

I'm gonna be editing this if I feel the need to as I watch the next episode.

Hongki is the next one to be on the show! It will be my turn to turn green, LOL x).

EDIT:

NichKhun would make a really really good boyfriend. I like him :). He's such a gentleman! He: took down MinSun's taxi plate number, messaged her in the morning before they met and at night after they parted, was totally cool even when her friends were bringing up touchy topics in their conversation, piggybacked her when her heels were giving her problems, covered her face with his arm when riding the ride at the theme park so that she wouldn't get splashed by water, tied her shoelaces for her, etc etc. I also liked how he proudly announced to everyone that she was his girlfriend, without any hesitation or embarrassment, and without even bringing up the fact that it's a TV show. Seriously, he's too perfect to be real. And the thing is, he is real *__*.

(Nowadays I associate all nice guys to JiHoo, LOL. Too much BOF! But JiHoo isn't real. If there ever is a guy like that in real life, I would like it if after he dies, some scientists take the genes that make up his personality and use them to engineer other people. The we'd have world peace. HAHAHA.)

At the end of their 7 days, they have 30mins to decide whether they wanna date each other for real, and if they do, they were supposed to send their personal handphone numbers to each other. MinSun did, but after contemplating for the whole 30mins, NichKhun didn't. I think he really wanted to, but his status as an idol singer was stopping him. He even said, "We aren't supposed to have girlfriends since we are idols." That is really sad ;___;.

All the best to MinSun! I hope the rabid fangirls won't do anything bad towards her. I know that there's still some hope of NichKhun actually contacting her after the show since she did tell him her number, but if he doesn't, I hope she'll get over it. I imagine that it must be difficult for her to like another guy, especially after he was so nice towards her. But she's a cute girl with a cute personality, so I believe she'll find her Mr Right.

I think this show can be quite damaging. It's like We Got Married all over again -.-. I don't know whether I can stomach Hongki's episode. It'll be too sad if the same thing happens again T___T.

090305 Idol Army Ep. 14 with SHINee

(^The first part of the first episode; 2 episodes in total.)

Boom and 2PM are the hosts for this show. SHINee came for this episode, and I randomly clicked on it from some post in livejournal because it sounds like crack. And seriously, I'm almost bursting a rib from too much laughing, lolol. TOO MUCH CRACK OMGOMG. Everything is funny, even the captions. And I'm not even in 2PM or SHINee's fandom! So much fan-service; it's making me spazz like mad HAHAHA.

Nichkhun is cute! But I already said that before xP. I joined khun-a-day at lj quite a long time ago, even though I don't know the group at all, LOL. Someone actually commented that he looks like Jimmy Lin (who has a super adorable baby face, btw); I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that way xD. And his mirror-dancing of SHINee's Replay is so cool!

I think it's such a coincidence that there are Junsu and Junho (real names) in 2PM, and Junsu is the vocal of the group haha!

I haven't finished watching; will continue to watch xD. Will live-edit as I watch, lol xPP.

Nichkhun/Minho HOMG. My heart can't take this lolol! I bet a lot of fanfictions were written on them xDDDD.

Jaebum is cute too :). He looks like a kid; doesn't look like the oldest, haha!

I suspect Key has one loose screw, LOL.

Taemin is such an innocent little kid =].

2PM's Junsu looks a little like Jang Woo Hyuk. Is it just me? haha
