OTP!

Yesterday was Jaejoong's birthday, which means that Yunho's birthday is coming. The difference between their birthdays is only 11 days, so in the meantime I feel like posting some Yunjae pictures. Did you think that I forgot all about Yunjae already? Actually whatever my favourite pairing now is the #1 spot is being threatened by Hosu, I'd still love Yunjae. ^^

So after the 'look', the 'talking over Changmin', etc, now the topic is.. distance! Don't just look at the pictures, do read the Chinese words added by the fans (and look at the cute monkey lol!). Hilarious stuff. xD

^for this one, the usual difference in distance between Jaesu and Yunjae was there throughout the show, but at one point all of them had to sit very close together to take picture. The thing is, after they took the picture, Junsu and the rest moved away immediately (haha Junsu looks so innocent in the picture xP), but Jaejoong just stayed there not moving at all for about 6 seconds. Then he noticed but moved away like an inch. lol. ( I watched it with subs before but can only find the unsubbed one here GOESS posted the subbed one here!)

I think the pictures speak for themselves. But I just wanna add that this situation happens a lot; in fact, almost in every interview where they sit in that formation (in Japan). Sometimes it's not so visible, but other times it's painfully obvious that I feel sorry for Junsu he needs his Yoochun lol.

And even though it's not really related, I'm gonna post just ONE more picture that had me in stitches.

^click to see a bigger version; it's very funny. xP

Funny fans rock, don't they? xDD

On the side note, I think I'm gonna be broke this year. So many album to buy! Lets see: T (if not too expensive), Explore M (still trying to find, all CD stores aren't selling T.T), Shinhwa's 9th album (already ordered yay!), and of course the yearly Jay's album. There's also the Jay and Linkin Park concert DVD when they come out. Money!

EDIT: I think Jay's concert DVD will come with 2 LIVE CDs. It's selling at around 45 bucks in Yesasia, so the price should be about the same when it comes to Singapore. Come out fast, please! xD

YOUNGWOONG JAEJOONG.

Happy 22nd birthday, Jaejoong! =)

I'm not qualified to say anything about his personality, but I think I'll have to post some of the answers he gave for an interview.
__________________________________________________________
Xmas with THSK ~ Winter Love Talk
Q: You just released a single entitled [Forever Love]. Does everyone here believe in a love that’s everlasting?
Yunho & Junsu: I believe! *answering immediately*
Jaejoong: I…….. would like to believe in it
Yoochun: I think it’s very amazing
Q: What about Changmin?
Junsu: Changmin isn’t interested in these kinds of things!
Changmin: That’s not true! It’s a little different from what Junsu said. It isn’t that I’m not interested but it’s just that I’ve never thought of it before. Because I don’t really have experience in this area.

What's in February 2008
Q: The last time you teared
Yunho: When I saw rainbow bridge.
Junsu: Not very recent, during the Budokan LIVE
Yoochun: Over nothing really important.
Jaejoong: I didn't.
Changmin: When I watched the movie [Tokyo Tower]

Q: In which area do you want to improve on yourself? What do you want improved in the world?
Yunho: For myself, I want to speak even more fluent Japanese. For the world, an orderly development.
Junsu: For myself I want to improve my falsetto. I want cars that do not pollute the Earth for the world.
Yoochun: I would want my composing to improve to the next level. For the world, a place with no war.
Jaejoong: For myself, it is to have an improvement in the way I think about things and the way I see myself. For the world, traffic: Flying cars.
Changmin: I want to be healthy. As for the world, actually it's not bad the way it is now.

Q: What's the difference between love and crushes ('like')?
Yunho: Love is forever
Junsu: Feelings of affection/crush would drain away, love is FOREVER LOVE.... Hahaha
Yoochun: Crushes would end, but love continues
Jaejoong: Responsibility
Changmin: I'm not sure yet
__________________________________________________________

Somehow, Yunho and Junsu sound so innocent. Yoochun sounds hopeful, Changmin just lacks experience in terms of love (lol he's just 19), but Jaejoong sounds.. realistic, to the point of pessimism. If that's how he really thinks, then I wonder if anything happened before that made him think that way but not that one needs anything any reason to begin with.

Enough with the depressive stuff! In terms of singing, personally I like his voice the best among the boys, and his technique is very good too; his falsetto kills. Dancing-wise, he's okay but improving. Looks-wise, haven't I said before that I think that he's the best-looking member? And even though he's very pretty, he's very manly too! Other than that, Jaejoong is a talkative and funny dork that may seem cold on the outside, but completely different once you know him (at least I think so).

Picture spam!

He loves making funny facial expressions to the camera but I think he's just a cam-whore haha. But the most famous one is the tongue. lol.

covering his mouth when he laughs..

..he's a man, remember?

Usually I limit myself to 10-15 pictures per post, but you gotta understand that I have too many pictures to post, and it was hard to just post this little many. I hope I didn't kill your bandwidth too much, though. xD

Haven't done this in a while; feels good. lol. xP

曹格 - 无辜

也许这是最后的考验
当我再度遇见了你
是命运捆绑了我们
还是爱情相信了记忆

你的欺骗没有让我掉下眼泪
爱本善变的痛楚并非你的罪

[Chorus]

[Chorus]

无法挽救的温存

我是残破的风筝
宁愿在遥远的天空
看你转过身决定去实现你和他的承诺

[Chorus]

也许这是最后的考验
当我再度遇见了你

play my song!

I finally got a hold of Minwoo's Explore M album last week. It's such an awesome album and his best yet; every track is good (I'll just say this once 'cos I don't want to repeat 12 times) and Minwoo's style of music just resonates through the songs, beats and vocals. He writes and produces most of his songs now, and that's always a plus. And his vocals have improved, too! My favourite tracks are no. 7 and 8, by the way.

1. Showdown (feat. Eric)
A dance song that's somehow expected to appear in Minwoo's album.

2. The M Style (Feat. Tablo from Epik High)
This song sounds like Junstin Timberlake's Sexyback in some ways. But the biggest difference is that, while I don't like Sexyback, I like this song. And I don't think I've mentioned before that Tablo is one of my favourite rappers. =)

3. Boy Friend
I don't know much about song genres, so I'll just say that this is an R&B song. At least, that's what I think it is. While Girl Friend in the previous album was a ballad, this song is quite upbeat and catchy.

4. Stomp
The first single of the album. To be honest, the first time I heard it, I thought it sounded too much like Bump. But after more listens, it's actually different. There are wolf-ish sounds in the background, lol.

5. La Noche Bonita
From the title, you'd know that this song sounds a bit Spanish (or some Latin country). I think it's the beat and the percussion. And can I say that Minwoo sounds sexy while he's singing "sexy girl.."? lol.

6. AM 07:05
It's a ballad-y, soothing song (you'd find that there are only a few real ballads in Minwoo's albums).

7. Play My Song (Feat. Tiger JK)
One of the two songs that I rated 4 stars at first (now every song's rated 5 stars lol) 'cos I thought it was weird. But after I listened to it the 2nd and 3rd time, I realised that I couldn't stop listening to it. It's so freakin' ADDICTIVE, I have no need for drugs anymore. If you see my bobbing my head up and down in the streets some time, then I may actually be listening to this song.

8. 너뿐이라고 (Untouchable Part II)
A ballad; Minwoo sounds emotional here, so much so that all the "no!" at the end sounds like they weren't planned; like he just shouted out of the agony.

9. Pretty Woman
Another ballad-y song that showcases Minwoo's soft vocals.

10. One Last Cry
One of my favourites in the album; an R&B song.

11. L.O.V.E
I don't know what to say. =P

12. My Child (98.03.24)
Somehow I find this song cute. xD

MVs from the album:
Stomp
The M Style

I feel like doing a long-overdue post on Minwoo, since I'm on it already.

Firstly, Minwoo's one of the vocalists of Shinhwa (duh), and the lead dancer; he choreographs some of their dance steps. To be honest, in my opinion, Minwoo's the best dancer. Asian one, at least. In terms of technique, Jang Woo Hyuk (from H.O.T) is probably slightly stronger, but Minwoo's dance can be powerful/hot/cute/whatever he wants it to be. His freestyle dancing is always full of creative moves. And I actually wanted to learn how dancing 'cos I wanted to know how to dance like him. In short, his dancing is enjoyable to watch.

In terms of singing, Minwoo's voice isn't exactly powerful, but he conveys his emotions well in ballads that you feel like dying when you imagine the pain he's going through and in dance songs, he just makes you wanna dance. His singing technique is good too, but I'm not sure about his range.

As an artist, he's a true professional who takes his work very seriously. I once got a scare when I watched an episode of Battle Shinhwa, 'cos that was the first time of me seeing a totally serious, no-nonsense side of Minwoo. But that episode made me respect him; he's not just some celebrity whose aim is to make money. Also, he's a natural performer who knows how to work the crowd.

In terms of looks, let's face it, he's not exactly tall and dark. At first glance, he's also not very good-looking. But however he looks or whatever his height is, if you've known Shinhwa long enough you'd be mad not to admit that he's hot. As in, he can be really cute, he's got a nice jawline, appropriate abs and most importantly, he shines when he's on stage. By the way, have I said before that he looks good in absolutely ANYTHING? Again, I'm saying this now 'cos I don't wanna repeat it later. xD

Now for the videos!

MVs:
Biya
Just One Night
If You..
Last First Kiss
Bump
Girl Friend
Sometimes
Sweet Sound
So Sick

If you don't want to see all of them, at least watch the MV for Girlfriend. The song itself is awesome; so SAD and Minwoo's PAIN just resonates through the whole song in his voice even when you don't know what he's singing. The recollection scenes in the MV are sweet but the ones after the break-up was so PAINFULLY SAD. Click here for the MV with the lyrics translation; I was almost grieving when I watched it. T.T "I hate you with all my pain" *shudders* This song was the one that introduced me to Minwoo as a solo artist (even though it's from the 2nd album), and still one of my favourite songs of his. And it doesn't hurt that he looks downright great in the MV too. =)

LIVE performances:
Untouchable + If You..
Bump + Battle remix
Bump (1 2)
Girl Friend
Overdoze
Stomp
너뿐이라고 (Untouchable Part II)
^from the Explore M showcase; I'm reminded why this is (one of) my favourite track off the album. MUST WATCH! (just watch the whole showcase lol)

I only have time for a music post for now. There are too much good videos of Shinhwa, but I'll have to go and dig. xP

yea!

Congrats to DBSK for Purple Line getting #1 in Oricon's Weekly Chart! They're the first non-Japanese artist to top the chart. To be honest I totally didn't expect it since the single slips off #1 in the second day of release. Whatever it is, this is a big feat for the boys, considering the short promotion period and the release of their new album tomorrow. Hope the album will do as well. =) I'm gonna restrain myself from downloading even though links are available already, since I'm intent on buying it.

Go listen to that song, in case you haven't already. It's got a nice beat to it!

On the other hand, recently when the boys went back to Korea for a fan meeting, apparently some freaks fans decided to follow their cars with taxis or something, which resulted in Jaemin meeting with a car accident. They were sent to hospital immediately, but since they weren't hurt, the five of them went on with the fan meeting, albeit an hour late. I'm not gonna say anything since it'll take one full page long, but let's just say that I'm glad they're okay. =)

Here's a clip of the video they showed in the fan meeting. It's only 37 seconds long, but it's so cute. *.* Looks -- Yunjae had their fringe flicked back; Yunho looks mature while Jaejoong looks like a rocker with the black gloves and all. Junsu looks like a little boy, Yoochun's wearing sunglasses indoors (again!) and Changmin's looking laid back. Highlights: HOSU!, Yunho's "saranghae" rap, Junsu's cute smile at 00.19, Changmin's smirk at 00.21, Yoochun being a dork, Yunho coming over to camera looking like he's got something to say but only smiled, Jaejoong's 'heart' at the end. All in 37 seconds. xDD

Eric, the fourth-dimensional leader

From a street dance champion in the US to the leader of a Korean idol group, from a singer to an actor, from a Korean celebrity to a Hallyu star, every single transformation of Eric is simply amazing.

No Turning Back at 19 Years Old
From being selected by Lee Soo Man in March 1997 to his debut on 24 March 1998, Eric put in one full year of effort for his debut performance on KMTV's Show Music Tank. But Shinhwa's first album wasn't a success. Eric took on the responsbility of being the leader and big brother, and consoled the other members, "Let's put in our best efforts for the 2nd album, we will continue if we succeed and if we don't, we'll disband." He felt that he had to be strong, forgetting that he too was only 19 years old that year.

Fortunately, their efforts paid off, and they finally had a fanclub of their own - Shinhwa Changjo - and their very first award - the 1998 Mnet Award for Best Male Newcomer. Their 2nd album had succeeded.

Growing Pains
Shinhwa's success extended to their 3rd album. However, Andy returned to the US before the release of the 4th album, and with one person less, the company wanted to disband Shinhwa. The sudden change left Eric feeling lost for a moment. He thought if they made a great job of the 4th album, the company might be willing to give in to them.

But even their passion and results didn't make the company change its mind. Finally, that led to the unforgettable guerilla concert. Then, Eric finally caved in and knelt on the ground. Having bet everything he had on it, he lost the strength to stand. That was the first and last time that we've seen such a helpless Eric.

Leading The Escape
In 2003, Shinhwa refused to extend the contract with SM, which was undoubtedly a shock in the industry. So far no artiste had ever dared to offend the big boss of the Korean entertainment industry, and they were the first.

After the guerilla concert, Eric had his own plans, and Shinhwa left SM among much controversy. Eric was the one who negotiated with the management, and forking out his own funds to buy Shinhwa out. No one will ever know how much hardship he had to endure during the negotiations.

But there was still more trouble to deal with. On 20th September 2004, a reporter openly asked at Shinhwa's 7th album showcase, "What does Shinhwa have to offer to be able to release their 7th album?" and proceeded to slam Shinhwa with ruthless criticism, leading to a big media frenzy. It was then that Eric stepped up once again as the leader to speak out, and he published his rebuttal on the Internet, with the now-famous quote, "It's not so easy to see Shinhwa. If there's anything, you can look for me."

On 9 January 2006, there was a video of Eric and two other members mimicking the intellectually-challenged posted online with the header "Eric's a goner this time". Eric dealt firmly with the media's relentless questioning. In an apology letter which he published online he apologised for the thoughtless behaviour that he and his two younger brothers displayed in the video. What could have been a huge PR crisis for them, Eric resolved it with his firm and sincere actions. The helpless Eric of yesterday who knelt on the ground covering his face was gone - there's now only the Eric who says with conviction "We will put in our best efforts".

The Peculiar Fourth Dimension
He'd catch a mosquito and asked why it was so ugly; he ran away to Jejudo alone because he couldn't come to terms with his sudden popularity; he got lost on the way to Dongwan's birthday party; he'd confide in a dead ant; he spoke of making a pot of Hye-Wan soup....this is the fourth dimension of a man who's cool, calm and confident. To many, he is the leader of Shinhwa, gentlemanly, attractive, usually quiet, and sometimes shy.

To Shinhwa, there is only one Eric.

ouch.

I don't have any crack to share, neither am I going to post spazz-worthy pictures. I just listened to Kiss したまま、さよなら, one of the new songs in the upcoming DBSK's 3rd Japanese album, T. There are only like, 6 new songs in the album, but because of this song alone, I'm buying it (there are also other songs that were previously released as singles, such as Lovin' You and Forever Love). You can only find this song in the 2CD+2DVD version, so I'm getting that one. Whatever happens, you MUST listen to the song. It's heartbreaking, right from the very note of the song, 'till the end. T.T All of them sound so sad; Yoochun especially sounds like he's choking on tears. I can't understand what they're singing and yet I almost cried I'm having goosebumps all over. DAMN I NEED THE LYRICS. No wonder this is Junsu's favourite song in the album. Oh and another plus point is that the melody is composed by Jaechun; lyrics by Yoochun.

I'll cut the crap and link you HERE. =)

杰倫!

Yesterday's concert was a blast! But before I go into that, I'll have to tell you that I bought a Jay concert tee (which is the cutest t-shirt I've ever gotten, and HAHA people, stop staring, I know you're jealous that you couldn't get the shirt) and a Jay figurine. The latter is a Singapore edition, so I guess that's what I got myself this year. =) Just before the concert, when I was staring at this big green hand sign with the writing "I 'heart' U JAY" at the seats it finally hit me that I was going to see JAY LIVE, so I felt this sudden rush of excitement. lol.

In general, the visual effects were totally awesome; there were lots of fireworks and lightings and stuff. I think he must have spent a lot of money on those. Jay's performance was really good; he changed the notes a lot, but sounded strained at some parts (he's got the flu). I think he changed costume nine times, and looked great the whole time. Surprisingly he only forgot his lyrics a few times lol. You can hear the crowd singing along with him, and the sea of light sticks look beautiful. Actually I wanted to stand up throughout, but in the end I only stood up at some parts of the concert. =( There were lots of guys too (Jay ain't a freakin' 花瓶 YAY). I can't remember everything, so I'll just post what I can recall.

At first they showed Kungfu Dunk trailer, which looks great. I actually think Jay looks very cute with the bowl hairstyle. xDD

1. 黄金甲 (here)
There was some clip on the screen, and some people wearing golden costumes came out. Then Jay came out from under the stage, wearing that purple costume thingy.

2. 無雙 (here)
He took off his purple costume, and now you can see his ponytail clearly (looks funny haha). He hit one of the high notes! ^^

3. 最後的戰役
Another costume change, with the ponytail off (yay!). I must say he looked very good with his hair like that, even his microphone looked good with the gold colour. xD

4. 不能說的秘密
Originals are always the best. What's with the "Jay's LIVE isn't as good as his CD" thing? That version can't even be compared with Jay's. I'm not saying whose. lalala.

5. 退後

6. 麦芽糖
The dancers were wearing some kinda clown costumes, lol.

7. 牛仔很忙
HAHA the dancing was cute.

8. 聽媽媽的話
The beginning of this song was Jay sitting on the steps on stage and asking us who should he thank since it's his birthday, to which the crowd answered "妈妈!" Then the music started and he shook his forefinger right and left, which I find cute. xD And yeah, 周润发 and 张学友 made a guest appearance on the screen.

9. 黑色幽默
Behold the TRANSLUCENT PIANO! It's like, so cool lahh. Jay + piano = 帅! I was actually staring at one line of sweat sweat on his face. xP

10. 最長的電影
The MV was playing on screen while he sang and played the piano. I lovee this song to bits.

11. 安静
Somehow I got really high (inside) when he sang this song; afterall it was the first Jay's song that I encountered. Hearing him singing it LIVE just made me feel all fuzzy inside. xP But he forget some of the lyrics (lol!), and made up the lyrics himself. =D

12. 白色風車

13. Piano Battle with Yuhao
Before the piano battle there was a funny video clip showing Yuhao being very jealous as he was in love with Da Ni (the chubby girl in 牛仔很忙 MV) lol. It was so funny. They cut scenes from Jay's MVs and put in Yuhao's scenes in them, which I thought was pretty impressive. The piano battle itself was AWESOME! And Jay was wearing a simple black shirt, which was a good change from all the elaborate costumes.

14. Hip-hop Dance with Yuhao (here)
This part really surprised me; I didn't know Jay can actually dance like that. Cool! =))

15. 千里之外
Now he's wearing an all-white costume with a hat. The dancers in the back were waving some white feathery thingy lol. I was wondering whether Fei Yu Qing would appear, which he didn't. But that's okay; Jay's rendition was good.

16. 菊花台

17. 本草綱目
He danced! It was great. Jay can dance too, ohkay! =)) And he did some cheling (I don't know what it's called in english) too at the end of the song, he threw it high up but it didn't drop. Pro!

Guest Stars - 南拳媽媽
Tonight
What can I Do
牡丹江
Lara's voice is so high sia. The crowd wasn't cheering that much and the people around me were quiet, so I tried to cheer as much as I could. Some people went to toilet during this time. =/

18. 夜的第七章
Lara sang the female part and the last chorus that was supposed to be sung by Jay. Dan Tou appeared too, even though I don't know why. haha.

19. 夜曲
He appeared sitting on a giant high-heel shoe (LOL) with two dancers molesting him dancing near him.

20. 迷迭香
I'm not a fan of this song, but now I like it more. He danced that dance he did in the MV with one of the dancers. The thing is, after this song, the dancers (who were wearing red bare-back dress, went to the audience and danced with the guys in the audience. It's funny at first, but kinda out of line, at least for me.

Jay and 南拳媽媽 guys
They were with their guitars, chatting and cracking some lame jokes. At this point Jay was wearing a shiny black coat lol. Anyway I really like how natural Jay seems to be. The NQMM guys then sang some song that was supposed to be boo-ing Jay, lol. I'm kinda disappointed that the company didn't arrange a birthday celebration for him; after all it's his birthday and he still had to work. In the end it was Jay who initiated us to sing a Birthday song for him (it's so Jay-ish, lol). He must know that the fans were dying to wish his a happy birthday, haha. We sang in Chinese and English, and meanwhile he sorta acted as a conductor, it was cute. Then they started changing some songs, the guys sang a ballad-y version of 忍者 (which sounded ookay haha).

21. 双节棍
Still with the NQMM guys, Jay sang a different version of this song. It sounded like a completely different song, just with the same lyrics. I prefer the original (haha!), but it's cute. lol.

22. 彩虹
A very good performance! Him playing the guitar is a plus. =)

23. 开不了口
He forgot the lyrics. lol.

24. 甜甜的
At first Jay was like asking us what song he was gonna sing, "三个字, 什么什么的!". I was like shouting "甜甜的!" even when no one else around me (except Mich) were shouting. Whatever~! hahaha. He didn't make the the cute "mwahh!" and "chuuuu" sounds, but that's okay. haha. This was said to be the last song.

ENCORE
The crowd started shouting incoherently, but then the band came out again and they started the beat, so the crowd shouted "周杰倫 woo!" repeatedly, which was sooo funny lol.

25. Playing the drums
It was cool!

26. 陽光宅男

27. 发如雪
He played the guzheng at first, with the crowd singing until the first chorus. He had that look of concentration on his face, sometimes he would stick his tounge out. xD Then he sang himself.

28. 霍元甲
Jay was holding a gold fan while singing. He pointed the mic to the audience at the beginning of the chorus, so I was shouting "霍霍霍霍霍霍霍霍!" lol. He threw a 双节棍 to the audience (must have hurt if hit lol). Then the last part: Dan Tou appearing on stage IN DRAG. He was wearing a pink glittery dress and was trying to hug and kiss Jay. It was hilarious to see Jay running across the stage to avoid him, LOL. Such kids. xD

With that, the concert ended. It was 11+, so the whole concert was about two and a half hours. It felt very short, though. He didn't sing a lot of my favourite songs, but obviously it's impossible to sing all of them as even one whole week of concerts wouldn't be enough. I hope he got enough rest yesterday, 'cos there's gonna be another concert tonight. I think the crowd's gonna be more high, though. But that's fine with me, after all I'm one of the lucky people that got the ticket in the first place, one of 10,000 that got to watch Jay's concert on his birthday, and one of the few that got the concert shirt. I'm contented. =)))

^the funny-looking purple costume. Now then I realise that Dan Tou and Zhang Jie were playing the guitar. I was too busy looking at Jay, lol. xP

^ROFL. xDD

I've never said this before, but now I can shamelessly say that I LOVE JAY. <33

Jay!

Today is Jay's birthday, so I'm here to say Happy 29th Birthday, Jay!! Usually on this day every year I'd take the liberty to buy something for myself; whether it's a CD, a keychain, whatever. Why? I don't know. haha. I don't know what I'm getting myself this year, but I guess the concert itself is already enough. =)

Now for the picture spam! I'm gonna be posting a lot, so I'll set them to small size and you can click to enlarge.

^Jay can look cute too, ohhkay. xD

Okay I think that should be enough. I've too much pictures, seriously. ><
