命中注定我愛你 (Fated To Love You)

The two main characters are: Chen Xin Yi (Qiao En), a plain and ordinary girl who was often called a "Post-It Girl" as just like a post-it, she's helpful and easy to obtain, but at the same time wouldn't leave any mark after being used, and easy to tear; Ji Cun Xi (Ruan Jing Tian), the heir of a big company, rich and arrogant, who had a two-year-long girlfriend who he really loved, Anna. By some freak accident Cun Xi and Xin Yi had a one-night-stand, the latter got pregnant, and they were forced to get married. Cun Xi had Xin Yi sign a divorce agreement saying that she'd leave him right after the baby was born, and that she was not to fall in love with him.

This drama left me feeling very conflicted, because I knew that for almost every drama there will always be a happy ending, which means that the two main characters will end up together, which in this context means that Cun Xi and Xin Yi will grow to love each other and stay together. Well, it was easy to predict that Xin Yi would love Cun Xi, but the reverse wasn't, for he already had Anna. And even though the fact that the one-night-stand was totally accidental and it was neither one's fault, Anna was also innocent; initially her only fault was to put her dreams above her boyfriend, which maybe she shouldn't have done, but strictly speaking, wasn't wrong. So for the two to end up together, Anna would have to be sacrificed. Which, actually, doesn't sit well with me, even though I wanted the couple to be together. Lots of things here seemed to be no one's fault, but fate's. Which I don't quite like, to be honest; it's way too convenient to blame things on fate.

Xin Yi is really, really kind. She does her best in everything, and blames no one for her plight, but herself. She'd think of others' feelings first, even when she herself was hurting. After she left Cun Xi she went to Shanghai and got a new name, Elaine, as she changed and became someone who's confident, and basically nothing like her old self. I think it's good she became more confident, but somehow I like Xin Yi better, haha ^^;;.

I have mixed feelings about Cun Xi. He's a good guy; he's really nice towards the person he loves, and even though at times he said hurtful things, he'd sincerely regret it afterwards. I was happy when he started feeling for Xin Yi, but again, it's so conflicting; can feelings change that easily? At first he said he loved Anna, then his feelings changed and he loved Xin Yi, and then he was caught in between. Either one he chose, he would hurt the other. But he didn't choose to be stuck in such a situation either. In the end he realised that he loves Xin Yi, but that wasn't until he found out that Xin Yi loves him, which again, doesn't feel right :/. But after she left him, he changed for the better. And he's very suave when he's serious about something :).

Even though Anna was initially innocent, perhaps her relationship with Cun Xi had always been unbalanced. He loved her more than she loved him; she just depended on him a lot, as he, who loved her more than anything, always cared for her. And when she found out about Cun Xi and Xin Yi, her fault was that she didn't trust him. She was too selfish; she could only see her pain. When she clearly knew that he had already fallen for Xin Yi, she should have slapped and scolded him, then took a step back and left. Isn't it sad to be with someone when you know he doesn't love you? :(

I like Dylan a lot, by the way! He's Xin Yi's friend (sort of), and is very nice towards her :). He's really cool, smart and straightforward. Later he liked Xin Yi, but I feel that he's more of a big brother to her ^^;;.

The other characters are very likeable as well; like Cun Xi's grandmother ^^.

And this drama is HILARIOUS xDDD. Xin Yi's second sister made me laugh a lot! And this conversation between Cun Xi and Anson (his assistant) in episode 11:

Cun Xi:

Seriously, that made me laugh for two full minutes, and I still laugh when I think about the scene LOLOL xD. Anson is really funny x).

The behind-the-scenes are hilarious too! Xin Yi's mother is freakin' funny xD.

Qiao En can act well. Xin Yi and Elaine seem like two completely different people, but Elaine becomes more like Xin Yi when she's with Cun Xi. Her tears always seem to come very naturally too. Ruan Jing Tian did well too; I like how Cun Xi's eyes got teary when he was thinking about the things he regretted. And how he looked at Xin Yi in episode 16. And he is handsome and charismatic ^^.

I enjoyed watching this drama. The later episodes are kinda draggy, but the last two episodes are very nice :).
