My Girl :)

I'm too lazy to type a summary, so just read it here.

Throughout the show, I couldn't help thinking "how cute!" for every episode. Somehow everything seemed so cute, especially the main girl, Lee Da Hae (Yoo Rin). She's very pretty and it was very cute watching her bickering with the guys. Her personality in the show kinda reminds me of Song Hye Kyo's in Full House; a bit blur and strong. Her family wasn't well-off, so she was brought up to be a swindler, her lies are very smooth, and she loves money. The dramatic way she acted to fool people was so funny lol. She fell for Gong Chan first, and it was painful watching her struggling to act as his "cousin" when obviously she didn't want to be his cousin. Somehow her tears seem to be able to well up in seconds. I like her for her cheerful and bubbly personality, but I didn't like the fact that she didn't think of Jeong Woo's feelings at all. He was there for her when she was down, yet even after knowing his feelings, she totally brushed it aside even though she should know that he was suffering all along, too. Guess you can't see anyone else other than the one you love, huh? Anyway, I felt really sad for her when she knelt down, crying and apologising after the grandfather knew about the lie. It's like, she had to take all the blame herself. The next scene where she tried to stop herself from crying, keeping a poker face while the sound of crying could be heard from her throat, was even sadder. But then they had to show her breaking down in the airport. T.T In the last episode, the "big revelation" scene (which was actually Yoo Rin lying to everybody) -- she was trying to lie so hard, it hurts. SO SAD. T.T

The lead actor, Lee Dong Wook, is very good-looking. He acted as Gong Chan, a smart and accomplished businessman whose character is more of the serious side. He's kinda naive, though, and he looked cute when he believed in Yoo Rin's lies, just like a little kid. It was sweet when he always had that little smile after Yoo Rin did something funny/stupid. haha. He can be mean sometimes, but he's actually very considerate and protective over her. I think it's just my habit, but I said, "You're so screwed!" a lot of times while watching him slowly realising his feelings for Yoo Rin. Maybe that's what I'll say to myself if I experience the same feelings. It was so sad when he had to try so hard to lie to her that he wanted her to act as his cousin forever, and even pretended that he could treat her as just a cousin when he was actually going crazy that he couldn't stop himself from falling for and thinking about her. He was so cute when he finally met Yoo Rin again in the second last episode; kept sticking to her shamelessly and all, behaving like her and totally unlike him. lol.

Lee Jun Ki (Jeong Woo) is a pretty boy; almost too pretty to be a guy, in fact. But he'd look weird if he was a girl. To be honest, at first I couldn't stand looking at him. =X I do find that he looks good now, though (character development and shorter hair do wonders, man!). However, I think his acting is very good and I like him in the show even though he's such a player in the beginning. I feel really sad for him, actually. It's so DEPRESSING every time he saw Yoo Rin crying about how she couldn't pretend that she didn't have feelings for Gong Chan, since Jeong Woo was trying hard to suppress/hide/bury his feelings for her. And it got even more depressing 'cos he repressed all his feelings inside all the time and was left to sort out his emotions alone while having to maintain his "carefree" image. He's a good friend; always cheering Yoo Rin up when she was sad even though he was feeling like crap himself. I'd be thinking "NO!" when he was about to see something he wasn't supposed to, 'cos after that he'd end up drinking in some bar. The worst thing is, all his life he got all the girls he wanted, but got rejected when it was the first time he ever truly loved someone. I feel for you, man! Even up till the end.. haish! It just wasn't meant to be, but you're cool!

The ending was.. expected but unexpected. lol. The last scene was very cute, though (the Chae Moo Ryoong from Witch Yoo Hee and another girl guest-starred, apparently they were in the drama Delightful Girl Choon Yang; she's really pretty o.0, maybe I'll watch that drama next.. dunno when haha!). Overall, the storyline is unrealistic and the later episodes are slightly draggy, but it's still an enjoyable drama to watch. The imaginations are really funny lol. Other than that, I think he little romance story between Yoo Rin's friend's brother and Gong Chan's secretary is very funny and just too cute for words. Oh ya, even though I said that I felt sad a lot of times, I didn't cry at all while watching this drama. xP

I think that for every drama, no matter whether I like the leading actress or not, or which guy I like better, I'd still be happy if in the end, the girl is happy. After all, most of the time both of the guys are nice; they really love the girl and treat her really well. I guess in the end it depends on which one she loves, since you can pretend that you like someone but you can't pretend that you don't love someone you love, even if you were to lie to yourself. What am I crapping about? I don't even understand that L word. haha.

There's still the special episode left; I'm looking forward to the behind-the-scenes and the NGs. I'll have to watch it tomorrow, though, and if I see something interesting I'll post again. =D

EDIT: Most of the special wasn't subbed, so I can't really say anything. haha.

me?

In the 9 months that I've been using this blog, the 'personal' tag was only used once, for the first entry. But now I'm using it again. Actually I didn't use it not because I didn't want to write about my personal life (at least now it isn't), but 'cos there wasn't anything that I wanted very strongly to write about. Sometimes it might be due to me having such a bad command of English that I didn't know how to express myself clearly, and when I re-read the post I'd feel so ashamed of myself that I'd delete what I had written. But yeah, just to let you know, I'm not pretending to be all happy and chirpy.

Back to the main point of this post.

YOU DON'T KNOW ME.

Glad I got it off my chest.

I'm not obsessed.. yet.

I said that I'll check out more of Fly to the Sky's songs and videos. And I did. I think I'm gonna post the videos this time around.

Interview on Love Letter -- The interaction between them and the MC was funny; Hwanhee seemed to be in a good mood here. And you get to see the rare sight of Hwanhee's voice cracking a bit. haha!

Brian on Star Golden Bell
-- It's not subbed, but there's a short summary at the side. He imitated Hwanhee; showing such a weird facial expression but sounding like Hwanhee. And you can see him speaking in English, too. In case you don't know, he was born in California, so his English is perfect. =)

Hwanhee imitates Brian -- In the beginning he was asked what he thought of Brian's imitation of him, and he answered, "as always, he was really cute and I wanted to bite him and then kill him". ROFL. And revenge is sweet! After the many times Brian imitated him, Hwanhee decided to return the favour by imitating Brian's (bad!) habit of tapping the microphone, looking hilarious in the process. xD

Short cut on Love Letter -- Myung Hoon (a guy who was a regular in Love Letter) and then Brian imitated Hwanhee, followed by Kim Jong Min lipsynching to Hwanhee's R&B voice. Hwanhee's singing was great (actually he always sounds great provided he doesn't over-sing), but Kim Jong Min was hilarious LMAO. I actually watched the whole episode subbed (just type "Love Letter episode 118), and there's also Minwoo in it! I said before in my previous post that Hwanhee looked good even before the plastic surgery, and from this I think you'd know why I said that. He looked awesome with that hair and smile, almost pretty, even. =X

Another cut from that Love Letter episode -- They were asked to introduce themselves in a 'sexy' way, and Brian started with "My name is Brian" in English and then went on to roll himself on the floor, acting sexy the whole time. fshdfshfLOL! Hwanhee then lifted his shirt to show his abs a few times (which was actually quite hot) but went away laughing haha. (just watch the whole episode; hilarious stuff!)

FTTS on Star Golden Bell (1 2) -- Five guys (including the two of them) stood behind white curtains with their heads and 'hands' poking out. The thing is, only one pair of the hands were the person's real hands. Brian's 'hands' were short and chubby; obviously not his lol. They were then made to answer questions together with hand gestures, and even had to eat ice cream. It was so hilarious when Brian initially managed to eat it, but later screamed "CRAZY HANDS!" when the hands started flicking ice cream, wanting to smear it on his face. xD It was actually Hwanhee who got his own hands, but he acted quite well, pretending they weren't.

Brian's crack-tastic dancing (1 2 3 4 5) -- ROFLxinfinity. Brian can dance properly, but most of the time in those variety shows, he'd dance this supposedly sexy but turns out to be embarrassing dance. Seriously this guy has NO shame when it comes to dancing; he can look sexy/gay/cute/whatever at the same time. It's a wonder how he's able to keep a straight face while doing it. Most of the time I'd feel so uncomfortable while watching him, but then it's so funny that I'd continue watching even though I'd be laughing like crazy. I think everyone feels the same way, actually. Such a natural comedian. xDD

Cut on Jihwaza -- The game where you have to jump through the hole in the board, otherwise you'd fall into the water. Hwanhee looked SO CUTE when he was thinking about the clue given, even with his new manlier face, seriously. Then he fell and asked Brian to pull him up, but obviously you know that Hwanhee was gonna pull Brian into the water. Brian's "earrgghhh!" when he was being pulled was funny, and Hwanhee looked like a kid pulling with all his strength. After Brian fell, Hwanhee immediately climbed out, Brian chased after him and they both ended up slipping and falling on the floor lol. Next is the sexy dance. DON'T WATCH WHILE YOU'RE EATING OR YOU'LL CHOKE. You've been warned. =DD

It's enough for now. I still have tons of things to watch. xP

Damn..

..these super talented Korean artists. They're making me listen to more and more songs that I don't understand each day. Not that I mind, though, since I don't place a lot of importance in lyrics anyway. xP

Let's go from the artist that I 'discovered' earlier.

First up, we have Younha! She's (are you surprised that I actually like a female singer? haha!) a Korean, but apparently she went to a lot of auditions in Korea before becoming a singer, but all the companies rejected her, saying she wasn't pretty enough (even though IMO she's pretty). However, in the end she debuted in Japan. She's only 19, but her voice is sooo beautiful and powerful and just so nice. *.* Her range can be compared to those of western singers, too. Again, this emphasizes the point that looks isn't everything. Well, in my dictionary, it's as close as nothing, actually. It's those company's losses for not signing up such a talent.

I first saw her performing (singing and playing the piano) in Dream Concert. I got interested, looked up some random clips of her singing, and was instantly impressed. Then I listened to her two Korean albums and almost rated all the songs five stars, lol. Her albums have a good mix of ballads and rock-ish songs. Unfortunately I don't have the time to listen to her Japanese songs, but I will.. one day! haha. She's actually my favourite female singer now. ^^

I haven't listened to as much of her songs as I'd have liked to, but for now I'll just link you to these wonderful videos of hers.

LIVE singing of other people's songs:
If I Ain't Got You
Because of You
Since U Been Gone
How Do I Live
늦은후회

her own songs:
꼬마 (I cry) (LIVE)
Password 486 (MV | LIVE)
연애조건 (LIVE)
Fly (LIVE)
속마음 (LIVE)
혜성 (MV | LIVE)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next is Fly to the Sky! They're a Korean (duh!) duo consisting of Brian Joo and Hwanhee. They have been around since 1999; I don't know where I've been all this time that I never listened to any of their songs. I had wanted to try out their songs since I got into KPop, but I kept procrastinating and it wasn't until recently that I listened to their compilation album, which hopefully did justice to their works (since it should contain their better/more popular songs). It was great! Their latest album is good, too. Most of their songs are ballads and R&B. Good voices, awesome skill and good songs; what more can you ask? I've been playing their LIVE performances on Youtube without watching the video itself. And 90% of the time they sound flawless. o.0

Brian's voice is clearer and generally higher while Hwanhee's is lower, gruffer and powerful. Their voices complement each other's really well. Personally I like Brian's better, since sometimes I feel overwhelmed/pressurized while listening to Hwanhee's deep voice - he over-sings at times. Both of them sings really really well, which is why it irks me when people comment "Hwanhee sings so much better than Brian" or "Hwanhee is better off without Brian". Hwanhee's technique is better and he got the better genes of having the more powerful voice, but they're a group, don't you see? They wouldn't be as succesful without each other. Anyway, I've always disliked is the tapping of the microphone, which happens to be Brian's habit. But on account of his soothing voice, I can ignore that. haha.

If you'd allow me to say something beside their singing -- I really think that Hwanhee looked perfectly fine before, so I have no idea why he went to have a plastic surgery after 8 years of being in the showbiz. Of course he looks great now, but he already looked good all along. As for Brian, I knew who he was before I knew FTTS from some variety shows and he's one hell of a funny guy. Even thinking about it is making me crack up, lol. And! to prove that it wasn't their looks that got me into them, I don't have a single one of their picture, except for one small album cover in which you can't even see their face clearly. I think I'm gonna check out more of their stuff, not only the singing ones. xD If I have the time. (arghh timee!)

But for now, let's just listen to their wonderful voices. =)

별... (Like Shining Stars...) (MV)
Missing You (MV | LIVE 1 2)
그대는 모르죠 (Goodbye) (MV | LIVE 1 2)
Condition of My Heart (MV | LIVE)
중력 (Gravity) (MV | LIVE)
습관 (Poison Ivy) (MV | LIVE)
가슴 아파도 (LIVE)
사랑해 (MV | LIVE)
My Angel (MV | LIVE 1 2)

They have so many great songs. I want need to find more! 8D
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I actually wanted to include Kangta, but that would lead to S (group), which would in turn lead to Hyesung (from Shinhwa). The post would be unbearably long, so I decided to put it off for another time. Now that I think about it, I still have a few albums I haven't listened to yet. *runs to listen*

On the side note, the U-Know Yunho concert tee came today. It's long-sleeved, the material isn't cheapskate and most importantly it's big, even for a fat ass like me. Hurray! =))

CHOIKANG CHANGMIN.

Today's Changmin's 20th birthday. So happy birthday, Changmin!

To be honest, I don't know anything much about him except for the things I mentioned here and here. Other than that, I think he's very realistic and practical, to the point of being sarcastic sometimes. In some interviews, I read that he actually cried a lot, especially when they first debuted. But I've never seen him cry before, not even once. I don't know whether that means that he's strong or emotionless or able to hide his feelings well. Whichever it is, the members mentioned that even though he's the youngest among them, he's actually the most mature one. =)

In terms of singing, I don't really like his voice as I find it a tad too sharp for my liking, but I must admit he's got the range, technique and power. He can even sing Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On in the original pitch o.0. Looks-wise, I think he looks like Jerry Yan from F4 lol. He's 186 cm tall and his legs are really long; model material!

Okay I'll just post pictures haha.

gifs:

Don't you think that he's so polite? This reminds me of the news article of him and his father being seen volunteering to help clean the oil spill at the beach. Such a good citizen. =D

I don't know whether you noticed this, but other than his mismatched eyes when he smiles, a lot of times when he laughs he'd turn 180 degrees, clapping and laughing at the same time. haha!

random pictures:

I'll end with a cut from a recent interview of theirs.

Q: A recent movie you watched that you'd like to recommend to everyone is?
Changmin: Secret (不能說的秘密)

曹格 rules.

I don't think I've ever said how much I really love 曹格. His singing, I mean. xP If I'm not such a big fan of Jay, 曹格 would have been my favourite singer. And even now, I acknowledge him as the best Chinese singer. It's not just that his voice can go really really high (here), which alone is very impressive (I'm a girl and I can't go that high =X). I think the best point about his singing is that he always sings with such emotion in his voice (most of the time, at least) that I lost count how many times I got goosebumps while listening to him sing. SUCH PERFECTION. *.* I didn't like his voice that much at first, but now I like it a lot. Not only that, he writes his own songs too. He said that he was rejected by a lot of companies before 'cos they said that he "isn't good-looking enough". But hey, that's their loss for rejecting such a talent. And even though he isn't exactly cover-boy material, he can be cute okay. xD

A post about 曹格 equals to nothing without videos of his amazing singing. So I'm gonna share the love. =)

我要快乐 & My Way -- It was a small concert at a pub in Malaysia, and he was drinking quite a lot. He lowered the pitch a little for the first song, but that's understandable; after all he's a guy and 阿妹's voice is already higher than a lot of girls. He also said "fucking asshole" after the line "谢谢了 伤我的人", which makes me wonder whether he's been hurt before. He might just have been drunk, but somehow I doubt so since he looked almost on the edge of breaking down when he sang that song. It was a long time ago, but this is actually why I was so worried when I read on the newspaper that he cried while singing 背叛 earlier this year. But anyway. The second song is actually a duet song, so he sang both the lower and higher pitch separately. haha.

想家 -- Look out for 小猪's expression after he sang. He even said "你没有干掉周杰倫我跟你姓", which made 曹格 pretty flustered. haha. The two of them are very good friends, anyway.

新不了情 (1 2 3) -- I've never heard this song before 曹格 sang it, but now I really like it. 'Cos he sang it so well. I love seeing people's expressions after he sings, and in the first link you can see 黑人's super big reaction. xD

黑色幽默 -- I'm sick of comparisons. Sure, 曹格 sings like a pro, but his version is different from Jay's. And I get really angry when I see comments such as "Jay can't sing" or "if other artists were to sing the songs Jay compose, they'd pawn". GO TO HELL. sheesh. Anyway, in terms of technique, 曹格's version is top notch, but personally I prefer Jay's version as in my opinion, it sounds sadder when Jay sings it. Both are really good, though, so stop comparing, people. Seriously.

背叛 (1 2) -- I LOVE this song the first time I heard it. In case you don't know, this song got popular last year after the promotion period was over because it was sung by two contestants of 超级星光大道. Then there was the usual comparison. Honestly I'm not biased or anything, but for me, 曹格's original version is still the best, no matter whether it's the skill or the emotions.

I'll Be There (just the audio; demo of 张惠妹's 一眼瞬间) -- He wrote this song for 阿妹. Don't you think that his demo version sounds sooo good? Personally I like it much better than the one recorded in her album.

I'll stop commenting about the videos and just put the links 'cos I'll just forever be gushing about how amazing his singing is. =P

聽海
祝我生日快樂 (1 2)
靠近

I'm afraid that's all I have for now. I need more videos of 曹格 singing!

Dunk-ing.

Watched Kungfu Dunk today, and it's better than expected. I mean, some parts of the storyline are pretty ridiculous, like the whole court and the crowd freezing over, not to mention the very weird scene of Jay "going back in time", like what the heck. Some scenes seem unnecessary, for instance the little story about Xiao Lan's (by Baron Chen) dead girlfriend. The whole "Shi Jie longing to meet his parents" affair is kinda weird to me, since from the beginning he never said that he was looking for his parents. I was ready to puke if the pair that he thought to be his parents were really his parents and then he didn't say a single word of complaint. But fortunately they weren't, and when he did see his real father, he asked the latter why he was abandoned. Thank heavens for the script writer not going towards the "happy family reunion" direction. *shudders* The basketball and fighting scenes are cool!

I think that the cast is okay; Chen Bo Lin who played the role of the team captain (shit I only know his real name) Ting Wei acted well, and Eric Tsang who acted as the fake uncle Wang Li was irritating but funny and kinda nice too. Somehow Ah Sa's role, Li Li, seems a bit redundant to me. Like she was there just to include the 'romance' genre in the movie. But hey, she's cute. Look out for familiar looking faces, like Jacky Wu (LOL), Dan Tou and Zhang Jie (from NQMM) and Liu Geng Hong.

'Cos I'm biased, I'll say that Jay is CUTEx10000. I mean, when I saw the pictures of him with the bowl haircut (a wig, by the way) I already thought that he looked cute. But I didn't expect the Fang Shi Jie in the movie to be that innocent and funny. I even had to cover my mouth at some point during the movie 'cos even though I was laughing silently I could tell that I was grinning like an idiot, like when he was taking pictured of himself in that photo booth ROFL. And I think his acting improved, too. The facial expressions seemed natural and the emotions when he was disappointed to know that the pair in the crowd weren't his parents, as well as when he met his father, were real enough (recall the crying scene in Initial D - quite a lot of difference haha!). Somehow his character in the movie reminds me of the Jay I see in those behind-the-scenes videos, just that Jay isn't that innocent. And damn, the 周大侠 song is stuck in my head. It keeps going "tofu tofu..". lol.

Okay I'm just gonna post pictures. Found these quite some time ago, but didn't get the chance to post them. haha.

^that whole match was freakin' hilarious. LMAO.

woots.

유노윤호, 생일선물 '마음만 받겠다'
U-Know YunHo, 'Will only receive feelings' for B-day Present.

【서울=뉴시스】

DBSK's U-Know YunHo(22) who had his birthday on the 6th rejected the presents his fans sent him.

U-Know YunHo who is doing activities in Japan came back to Korea to celebrate the New Years holiday, sent a word to his fanclub that he could not accept the gifts. The gifts his fans showed included a computer, notebook [could either be a regular notebook or laptop IDK which one they mean], synthesizer, digital camera, and an electric shaver among other things and gathered millions of won for them.

YunHo said "He was touched by the sincerity of the fans' aspiration. He was happy because he was able to feel how cherished he was" but then stated that "wouldn't it be better if the things the fans gathered with their loving hearts were given to others who needed a bigger helping hand. I think that if the presents could be distributed to those fostering their dreams under harder circumstances, (the fans') feelings will be used more nobly"
It was found out that U-Know YunHo had rejected his presents every year. The fanclub respects YunHo's wishes and plan to donate the gifts somewhere else.

o.0 This is totally crazy. 1 second?! I still find it hard to believe. The pre-order actually started on the 3rd of February, but whatever. Congrats, guys! =)

cough.

It's been quite some time since I feel this way; all fluttered inside that I wanna shout out, "OMG they're so in love!". What, you ask? It's Yunjae. hahaha! While honestly I don't think that they're gays, they're just so sweet together. *.* This was the video that almost blew my brain off. You may not see anything, but a few times their eyes met and you can see their expression changing to a smile, even though Changmin was sitting between them. fskskfkd. xDD

Okay I feel lame just posting one video. So I'm gonna link you to some more! lol.

The fancam above is of the boys when they were in Thailand recently for their Yamaha endorsement. Click! for the 30s commercial. Apparently Yunjae is big in Thailand, so even the advertisement includes the pairing *sighmarketingploy*. Anyway for the cf, other than the whole Yunjae-ness, look out for Jaejoong's "aaaaaaaaa!", Yunho's low "yeobohsehyo", Changmin dropping his handphone in the pot (lol!) and Junsu's skinny arms (xP). The only minus is that Yoochun didn't have much screen time.

^they were even re-arranged so that Yunjae can stand together, lol.

There's also the making; everyone looks awesome and relaxed there. A few highlights: Junsu laughing when he saw Yunho's 'frightened' expression (it's like, look and smile!), Yunho saying, "Stop laughing you crazy person!" (Hosu!), Junsu smiling in that I'm-so-cute way and saying sorry in Thai to the staff (haha Junsu is so cute!); Yoochun knocking Junsu's helmet (Yoosu!). xD

One picture from the press conference:

^haha!

Digress for a bit -- that ponytail isn't my favourite hairstyle of his - it makes him look more girly even though I think he looks good anyway.

And since I'm on the topic of hairstyles, here are the newest hairstyles of Yunjae.

Yunho's hair is veryy long. I really think he should cut it, but he still looks very good with that long hair. *gets shot* It's kinda funny that Jaejoong cut his hair so short (the shortest he's had in a long time), though, since his previous hairstyle wasn't too long for him. Good thing he didn't get it dyed black. hmmm. Did they switch their long/short hairstyles? hahaha. (I'm just rambling, don't mind me)

Next is the time when DBSK came as a guest to Waratte Iitomo, a Japanese talkshow (1 2 3 4). The show itself is not-so-new, short and awkward at some parts, but the boys were being their dorky self, especially Jaejoong. At the middle of it, they played a game (hard to explain), and when they won, Jaejoong just automatically stood up, looked to his left, and flung his arms around Yunho's neck. He chould have hugged Junsu, but he didn't (click for just the Yunjae part).

funny fans rock part 2:

^Why can't it appear bigger? blah whatever. Just click on it! haha.

..which reminds me of this picture...

*DEAD*

Digress again -- in case you don't know, the boys always get a lot of freakin' expensive gifts on their birthdays. However, I read from Soompi that Yunho rejects the expensive gifts from Cassiopeia every year, saying that he would rather them give those gifts to people in need. In his words, "to people who have big dreams but are in poor condition". That's so sweet of him. <33

U-KNOW YUNHO.

Today is Yunho's 22th birthday, so happy birthday, Yunho! Please take better care of your health, and stay happy! =))

It's gonna be long, so you can click the red box at the top right corner now if you'd like to.

Yunho was one of the first two members of DBSK that I saw, the first one I grew to like, and 'till now, the member I like the most. I can't really say the reasons why I like him as there are too many to name, and I may not even remember all of them. But I do remember that the first time I saw him was in Xman (aired around Rising Sun period), and he struck me as competitive, confident, yet a little shy. Somehow I got interested in him even though I wasn't particularly taken by his looks and dancing (at least not yet xP). After watching a few of DBSK clips, however, I found out that he's a very good speaker; so much that even before I knew he was the leader, I had already thought that he would make a good leader. It was the prank that made me really like him, though, since it showed me that he's not just a celebrity; he cares for the people around him (in this case, his fan), has a strong sense of justice and also, he did flare up, which makes him human. That says a lot about him as a person.

As I mentioned above, one of the things I like about Yunho is his public speaking skill. It's not just the fact that he always knows what to say, which is already commendable in the first place (here). No, it's not just that. I think it's the way he speaks that makes it seems like he's really sincere and means what he says. Some people smile a lot even when they're speaking, which sometimes give me the impression that they're trying not to laugh; others put up a completely poker face that make me think that they're nervous. Yunho, on the other hand, pauses a short while to think before he answers a serious question, and when he does, he answers with an appropriately serious face, a relaxed tone and a slight smile at the end. Am I making sense? When the question is an awkward one, however, he talks naturally, turning the awkward situation somewhat humorous (eg. talking about his moobs | pairings 1 2). Even when talking about a sad memory, like his childhood, he managed to make the audience laugh a little and toned down the 'sad' atmosphere, all the while looking totally comfortable.

Of course, as you know, I'm a sucker for guys who give off this mature 'feel'. At first when I found out that he was only 19 (then), I was shocked 'cos I thought he was at least 22. I don't know whether it's because of his leader position, or whether it's his own personality. Most of the time he maintains his leader image - cool and collected. Most importantly, he is a good leader. If you watched their earlier interviews, you'd notice that most of the time it was Yunho who answered questions, and when the members started to digress and fool around, it was also him who brought the rest back on track. He takes care of the members too (eg. Jaejoong when his leg was injured). I read somewhere that Junsu said, "without Yunho hyung, DBSK wouldn't be where we are now". I believe that (even though they wouldn't be where they are without any of the member).

Some random stuff:
__________________________________________________________
2005, Nov 18 to 19th, he was running schedules non stop. The minute the camera shuts down, he fainted.

At an award ceremony, all the members were crying their eyes out, Yunho stayed strong, he held his tear in, he smiled, he kept thanking everyone, but backstage, he shed more tears than the rest of the members combined. (here)

The famous 18 continuous bow. After the MBC dance battle special, he was sick, but he held himself together for the show, backstage, he bowed to every single performer and crew members, the fans captured the total number of times he bowed. 18 times. (here)

Actually I saved this whole chunk of things about Yunho, but I can't possibly paste everything here. In short, as an artist, I respect his professionalism. Somehow he always get injured or get hurt, but even then he always does his best, which makes me worried sometimes (1 2). I like his deep voice and even though his singing technique isn't the best, he's improving. His dancing is very good in terms of technique, and I love his facial expressions when he dances; it's actually the reason why I prefer his dancing to Junsu's. As a person, I admire his character (eg. 2U couple talk). He's polite to his sunbaes, and every fan that has met DBSK before hail him as the nicest/friendliest person they ever met, lol. In a lot of interviews, he said that he's working hard know so that he can take good care of his family in the future. I think he'd make a good son/boyfriend/father, but I kinda pity his future wife (even though she's damn lucky at the same time) 'cos he said he wants to have as many children as possible. haha! He's very good with kids too.

I don't know if you noticed this, but the Yunho on and off the camera are quite different, especially after the Rising Sun album. Well, I'm not saying that the side he shows to the audience is fake, but as much as I like that cool side of him, I adore the other side of him -- the slightly awkward, cute and boyish him. He's not like Jaechunsu who show their playful side openly, but also not like Changmin who's serious (or sarcastic) most of the time. Sometimes the things he does look silly; like you don't know whether to laugh or not 'cos you aren't really sure whether he does a certain action to make people laugh. The facial expressions he makes unconsciously are very funny, too. He may be a responsible and mature leader, but also a kid at heart, really. I discovered this quite some time after I got into DBSK fandom, at first I thought that he was a serious person through and through. That's why sometimes watching certain fancams (here) bring a smile to my face; 'cos I get to see how he's like when his guard is down. He's really adorable when he, for example, pokes Junsu's cheeks to indicate that the latter is cute (here). That may be one of the reasons why I love the pairings so much. Jaejoong also said quite a few times that Yunho's actually more of cute than cool (eg. Yunjae couple talk). Sometimes I wonder whether the whole 'leader' role is the one causing him to want to present the 'cool and manly' image to the audience. It makes me kinda sad to think that he had to grow up quickly 'cos he was made the leader (he was only 18/19 then). Which is why sometimes I hate it when they highlight the fact that Yunho's the leader, especially in Korea. Like he's not under enough pressure as it is. Or maybe it's the poisoning incident. =X But! On the recent talk shows in Japan, he's been loosening up, acting all silly and comical. Someone commented that he's on crack, which may actually be true. Other than that, of course, you can always see his real dorky side if you throw away the stereotype of him being all serious, in which case you'd find him cute. xP

Okay, I'm done talking. I do find myself very long-winded too.

There's a folder named "ROFL" in my DBSK picture folder, and most of the pictures are Yunho's.

^that's Changmin with him.

I think I should stop ruining his image. So let's post some normal pictures. haha.

I love it when he's with kids. xD

and of course you can't leave out the smex..

This post is wayy too long. I have to STOP. But.. whatever.

LOL. xDD

I love how I managed to work all the Yunho pairings into this post. And anyway, Hosu has been my favourite pairing since I-don't-know-when, but I'm admitting it now. xP

To tell you the truth, I've been wanting to do a full post like this on Yunho for the longest time, so actually I feel very accomplished now. hahaha.

Purple Line full MV!

Click here for the video. You know you want to!

Let's start from the neutral stuff - I actually prefer the Japanese version of the song, as in my opinion it flows better and I think they sang more roughly in the Korean version. What am I talking? hmm. Just for example, compare Yoochun's part after Jaejoong's in the beginning. They sound different. I was hoping that there would be a full Japanese MV of it, but I guess the Korean one is good too.

Enough about that. I'm actually in spazzy mode right now, but I bet you can't really tell. xD I'm not gonna post a long post, though, and just say a few words. *ahem* Everyone looks great; Jaejoong looks gorgeous, Junsu is full of attitude, Yunho is just Yunho xDD. The dancing is awesome, the visual effects are cool. I said here that I was weirded out by Yunho's rap, but now I really like it. I think it goes well with the song and is kinda funky too. Not to worry, though, in the rest of the T album you can hear his deep voice. He sounds really gooood in the album, too, especially in Darkness Eyes. And I'm not being biased. (oops I digressed)

Oh ya before I forget, Cassiopeia just broke Guinness Worlds Record for being the largest fan club in the world, having more than 800,000 official members. How's that? xDD

Okay now I am being biased, but whatever. I love his solo dance part; it's so smooth and looks almost as if he's got no bone at all. o.0

^OMG YUNHO. <33

It's his birthday tomorrow. =))

EDIT: Apparently there's also a Japanese MV of the song. Same scenes and everything, just different lyrics mouthed by the boys and of course, different language for the song. You can watch it here. =)
