Brilliant Legacy
(Dramawiki)
It could have been weird that misfortune started falling on Go Eun Sung one after another, but I think that the scriptwriters managed to pull it off; they made it seem natural instead of a set-up to make the main character pitiful. The scriptwriters are just awesome, whether it's in the characters or plot development, which is why even though this drama lacks humour and one may expect it to be draggy since it has 28 episodes, it is actually very enjoyable; the way it's written is very real.
Go Eun Sung is a very cool girl! She's strong; she cries when she's feeling sad and shouts when she's in pain, but she'd pick herself up afterwards. She's no angel, but she's kind. She sticks to her principles and does everything to the best of her ability. I really like her :). Han Hyo Joo is pretty and super skinny. She cried a lot for this drama, though ^^;;.
Sun Woo Hwan is an arrogant, insensible, ill-tempered little spoilt brat. I only started liking him more halfway through the drama, when he gradually changed for the better. We got to see him growing more mature throughout the drama. (Which again, is another reason why the scriptwriters are great lol xD.) He wasn't very smart, but he wasn't completely clueless. He's not bad :).
I like Park Jun Se! He's righteous and upright, smart, mature, tactful and charming. He has a very strong character. He's also very nice and friendly; he even goes for volunteer work lol x). He may get angry sometimes, but he doesn't throw his temper around. He is honest, he's not selfish, and he's just a really really good person! In addition, he looks good; not very handsome, but he looks smart and sincere. But even so, he is a normal human being; he's not without flaws. He's like the epitome of Mr Perfect, omg *____*. (Precisely because he is imperfect.) PARK JUN SE, ILU ♥♥♥♥♥.
Seung Mi is not a bad person, actually. She just had to keep lying in order to cover up the hole her mother dug. And she just loved Hwan. It wasn't entirely her fault that she was so hung-up on Hwan, for Hwan kept her by his side for so many years, without putting her feelings into consideration. She's pitiful. Moon Chae Won is pretty ^^.
Hwan was very nice towards Seung Mi; at first I thought they were dating. As I watched more episodes it became clear that he didn't see her that way, though. Jun Se was like a saint towards Eun Sung, but like Hwan and Seung Mi, it was clearly one-sided. At first I had wanted Jun Se and Eun Sung to be together, but since Hwan and Eun Sung grew to love each other despite the unlikely circumstances, I supported them together. Because no matter how awesome two individuals are separately, or how compatible they may seem, a couple is only awesome if they love each other. You have no idea how bad I feel for Jun Se, but it couldn't be helped; feelings just don't go the way we want them to, sometimes.
I like Hwan's grandmother; she's very fair and straightforward. Hye Ri, Eun Sung's friend, is a very good friend! She's the type of person who will bitchslap people who offend her friends. I like her a lot x). Jin Young Suk, Hwan's friend, seemed kinda useless at first, but he's not that bad either ^^. Butler Pyo totally rocks :DD! The staff members of the shop are very likeable too. I really dislike Eun Sung's stepmother; she's the type of person I hate the most -- hypocrite >:[. She's a very scary person. But she's very smart, and as a woman her age, she's very pretty lol.
