Gummy 1st Mini Album - Loveless (EP)

There are a few reasons why you should give this mini album a listen:

1. Gummy is an awesome singer with powerful vocals and a great voice.

2. The songs generally fall into the genre of R&B, but they range from slow ballad-y ones, to upbeat ones.

3. THIS MINI ALBUM IS AMAZING AND EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN TO IT. 'NUFF SAID.

1. 그만 헤어져 (Let's Break Up)

This song sounds sad, from the opening piano solo to the way she sings it. The beats start in the chorus, but with those beats, she sounds even sadder to me. Her falsettos are gorgeous, and GUH I love her voice, especially in the verses ♥. This might be my favourite song off this album ^^.

2. Because Of You

This song is so.. heavy. I like how they put those light, fast beats before the chorus, as if preparing us for a chorus with a fast tempo, but then just before the chorus starts, they stop and are replaced by heavier, slower beats, piano and Gummy's voice.

3. 사랑은 없다 (There Is No Love)

I already ranted about this song and the MV here. It's a very good song! I love her "strong, independent woman" image in this song.

4. 남자라서 (As A Man)

An upbeat, sweet-sounding song that totally got me fooled; the lyrics aren't as cheery. But anyway, the MV features Kim Hyunjoong and Jung Ryeo Won! It is super adorable omg, and I think I almost forgot how gorgeous Hyunjoong is LOL. (SS501's comeback is coming soon, by the way :DD.)

5. 어떡해 (What Do I Do)

The instrumental in the beginning is pretty; I wish it was longer. I believe that songs of this type are what Gummy usually sings. I have nothing much to say about this, except that it's nice xP.

6. 구세요 (Feat. Big Tone)

A happy, catchy, almost-cute song that would make one smile. Her voice sounds like Park Bom's in the beginning o__o. Big Tone's voice is a teeny bit annoying for me, but he's still alright.

I totally didn't know that Jay released his first single a few days ago, that the new album is out on 14th May, and that the pre-order already started 2 days ago. I'm off tomorrow, so I'm gonna go to CD Rama tomorrow morning to pre-order it :DD.

About the first single -- well, it's not fantastic, but it's not bad. I love the chorus. Usually I like Jay's rapping too, but here he sounds so.. lethargic, don't you think? But maybe that's to express the tiredness he feels, that is reflected in the lyrics. And his mumbling just got worse, even though it was getting better in the previous albums ^^;;. But anyway, I like the lyrics! Jay wrote them himself; they talk about what he's been through all these years in the entertainment industry. They are very honest, blunt and at some parts sarcastic.

Sigh why doesn't Youtube have a repeat button.

I can't wait for the new album :)).

Gummy - 사랑은 없다 (There is No Love)

I love this song! It's very rockish, which I LIKE :DD. Of course, Gummy's voice and singing are top-notch. Just listen to how smoothly she can switch between falsetto and normal voice o__o. I like how in this song her voice is mostly steady, but sometimes she sings using vibrato at the end of the sentences, which somehow sounds really good. The lyrics are full of angst, but I've always had no problem with that LOL. The MV is beautifully shot, I think, and she looks very pretty in it.

I cried A LOT watching this drama ;__;. I remember that I actually wanted to watch this since last year, but put it off because it's a sad drama. I started watching it because of my friend's recommendation, but I almost immediately regretted it. Not because it's not a good drama, but because I really didn't want to look like an idiot, bawling her eyes out in front of the computer screen. I think I can only watch one of such dramas every say, two years, otherwise my lifespan would be shortened 'cos I'd be shedding too much tears, LOL. But anyway, it's a very touching drama, that was made by the masochist scriptwriters and great actors :).

Ren Guang Xi was initally a psychotic jerk, but he changed for the better. I think his character was constantly changing; it made me confused sometimes lol. Honestly I don't really like him that much,'cos he's self-centred and he misunderstands things very easily. But he's okay. Vanness 很帅 xD. He definitely looks cuter with short hair ^^. His Chinese is mostly fine now, but I love it when he speaks English! I know that English is his first language and it's a given that his English should be good, but it doesn't change the fact that his English is damn hot LOL xPP.

Mu Chen is very, very nice :). She's got a strong character, despite her stick-thin frame. She's very gentle, is always very logical and is a damn good liar HAHA. I love her character a lot; she's my favourite person in the whole show ^^. Ady is soooo pretty! She's got such a small face lol. She did very well with this role; her scenes are the ones that touched me the most. I'm now torn between wanting to watch her other dramas and feeling like I have to avoid them 'cos I fear for my lifespan LOL.

Hua Tuo Ye is not good-looking, but somehow I find him really cute. He curses a lot, but maybe that's because he was brought up in a village and all. And it's funny when he curses hahaha. His actions and speech are like a gangster's, but he's really such a nice guy. I like him a lot! His confession was so heartfelt -- he wasn't trying to be cool or anything; he was just saying what he truly felt. He was so pitiful, but at least in the end he found his own happiness. Anyway, Wu Kang Ren is a great actor! Those expressions that he made actually made me said OUCH out loud, and his dialogues were delivered with a lot of conviction. I'll be looking forward to his future works ^^.

Yi Qian is a very cool girl ^^. She's kind, easygoing and pretty. It's impossible to hate her, which makes the whole situation so much more complicated lol ^^;;.

I don't think Mu Chen was wrong in wanting Guang Xi to have a higher chance of surviving, but instead of lying to him, I think she should have convinced him to go for the proton treatment, because no one could have had more influence on him than she did, damn it. I don't think Yi Qian did anything wrong in not telling Guang Xi about Mu Cheng either, 'cos she really believed that she was doing it to save him from pain, but she should have been honest about what their relationship had been -- friends -- and allow things to happen naturally, if they were to. And she really stayed by Guang Xi's side in those painful six years; HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE GRATEFUL.

XIAO LE IS SOOO ADORABLE :DD! He's so young, but he's such a good kid :)). And he's that same kid that acted in Down With Love haha! His (stage) name is 小小彬! AHHH I can't get over how cute he is lol.

I like Xiao Lin (Ren family lawyer); he's a good lawyer and a good person. There are a few actors that acted in Fated To Love You! Even the wooden horse is the same lol xP. Here, Chen Xin Yi's mum acted as Tuo Ye's mum. She's HILARIOUS HAHAHA. And she's a very good actress too!

The ending is a happy one, for everyone. But I don't understand why those sweet scenes involving Guang Xi, Mu Cheng and Xiao Le were not shown in the very short 23 minutes last episode at all, and only shown before/after advertisements, and at the ending credits of the earlier episodes. It doesn't make sense -.-".

I think the writers made Guang Xi change too fast because of Mu Cheng. I mean, I know that the whole bad-guy-becomes-a-good-guy-because-he-falls-in-love plot is sweet and all, but here it was just way too fast. I won't even talk about how incredibly fast Yi Qian got to become a full-fledged specialist, LMAO. They are smart in having cliffhangers at the end of every episode, though, which may explain the drama's high ratings.

A profession in law is a tricky one. Depending on the cases that one takes, he can either save a lot of people, or kill them.

Autumn's Concerto OST!

I wanted to post a song from this drama, but I realised that there were more than one good song off the soundtrack, so in order to not make so many posts, I decided to just put them all in one post x).

丁噹 - 我愛他

This song was probably played like a thousand times during the drama, LOL. It's a nice song that fits with the drama very well. Ding Dang has a nice voice and sings very well.

品冠 - 我以為

This song's lyrics are totally talking about Hua Tuo Ye's feelings, don't you think? SAD :(.

丁噹 - 親人

I think this is my favourite song off the OST :). It's a really pretty, touching song! I do not understand the lyrics though, so I'd appreciate it if anyone can explain what the song is talking about LOL.

Things that are past the expiry date should be thrown away, otherwise it'd be bad for health.

In these bleak days of KPop, I'd take anything, even a single strand of hope, as if it's a lifeline.

In the meantime, I'm looking forward to Junsu's solo debut! His single is going to be the soundtrack of a drama, and the preview is out. Initially I listened to it without watching the video, and I was distracted by the SEXYfamiliar-sounding speaking voice, which true enough, belongs to Mukai Osamu, LOL. It took me several listens to just focus on Junsu's voice -- you can't blame me okay >.< -- and his voice sounds powerful. I can't wait for the full song to be out, 'cos Junsu + ballad = awesomeness x). And I'm definitely going to be watching this drama hahaha.

言承旭 - 多出來的自由

I'm watching Down With Love now -- painfully patiently waiting for every episode to be aired in Taiwan, so I was lurking around in Youtube watching the behind-the-scenes when I stumbled upon this MV. I didn't know that Jerry Yan is still continuing his singing career, lol ^^;;. Anyway! His singing voice isn't anything special, but it's gentle and pleasant to listen to. (His speaking voice in the drama can be so dreamy though xD.) He definitely sounds better now than when he first started out, haha. The song is nice! I like how in the MV he sings with a mic stand and a band behind him, 'cos it gives off the rocker "feel" haha x). He looks great here; he has Yu Ping's hairstyle ♥___♥. And doesn't he have nice long fingers xPP?

I like older guys, HAHAHAHA.

Apparently the tickets for Jay's concert on 24th July were sold out in 2hours+, and last night a second concert on the 23rd was announced. I was expecting the second concert to be announced a few days later, LOL. It's not that surprising since I experienced the mad rush for tickets myself, and I'm happy for Jay that the tickets sold that fast, but like I feared, there are people selling the tickets online at extremely high prices. Sigh, shame on those people D:<.

Beast - Take Care Of My Girlfriend (Say No) MV

I already posted this song before, but today they released an MV for it! I was so excited for a second there, thinking that this was going to be their follow-up song, but no, it's not ;__;. It's not gonna be Easy either though; apparently it's going to be an all-new song that is going to be released in May. I'm looking forward for the new song, but still, I had hoped that they would perform this song at least once :((.

But anyway! This MV is SO low-budget, LOL. Anyone can tell that they used the same set as Shock, and there wasn't anything special about it, maybe except for the scenes with two Junhyungs and Yoseobs. But well, at least now we get to see who sings each part, the black-and-white effects look nice, and the boys look great in it x). My favourite scene is Junhyung's at 1:35-1:36; the emotion and the action really fits what he's rapping about. Dongwoon has so little parts in this song, so he has very little scenes in this MV >.<. Hyunseung and Kikwang have lots of lines though, haha ^^;;. I think Beast should release more MVs and perform more songs other than their own songs, so that I'll be able to differentiate their voices faster! (And official MV released means that it might come out at Kbox, albeit say, half a year later, right?! Please PLEASE do :DD!)

TOO MUCH SUGAR; I NEED TO RANT.

It's 10:20 am on a Wednesday morning, a day when I'm off from work and by normal standards, usually means that I'd still be sleeping now. However, I've been up since 1 hour and 12 minutes ago, because I was awakened by my friend's phone call, telling me that she couldn't get into Sistic's website because of too much traffic. (I was supposed to wake up before 9 to wait for her call but I overslept, heh.) I was shocked and immediately turned on my computer to try to get into the website. But I couldn't get in. I think I must be stupid to not expect that to happen; I mean, it's Jay Chou's concert, like hello?! After 20 minutes of refreshing the page, though, I got in! It was a miracle, I thought. However, the website was still lagging like hell and it took ages for me to even get to the booking page. Later, when I finally managed to get seats (section PC-1, row 29, seats 1-2), I clicked the "confirm booking" button one minute plus before the 10 minutes time limit was up, only to scream in horror when the time ran out because the page was lagging so goddamn much. So I went to the Sistic homepage again, but the most expensive category, Cat1, was all sold out. The portion of Cat2, 3 and 4 reserved for Titanium OCBC card which is entitled to 10% discount, were also all sold out. So even if we were to book the Cat2/3/4, we were gonna be sitting at the back of those regions. That was 9:50+. So I gave up and told my friend that we should wait for them to open up another day. But out of curiosity, at 10:02, I went to see the tickets again. And to my surprise, it showed that there were limited tickets for Cat1! So I clicked the "book tickets" button, squealing as I did, and the best seats I got were at PB-2, row 32, seats 1-2, which are obviously way at the back of the region, but I couldn't care less. I immediately went to try booking, but when I pressed the "confirm booking" button, the page couldn't be displayed like ARGH. So I patiently pressed the back button, filled in all the details and tried again. And I FINALLY got through! So there, I'm going to be watching Jay's concert on 24th July ^^.

I was reading my posts from 3 years back when I was trying to get tickets for his previous concert. It wasn't as hectic back then, but I spent every day hoping for a second day and then queued up two hours before the Sictic outlet was open for the tickets lol ^^;;. I really hope that they are gonna open up another day for the concert, for the sake of the fans who can't get tickets to this one. I'm sure that a lot of the fans are emailing Sistic requesting for it, like I almost did when I couldn't get tickets just now, so I think the organisers will be more than happy to explore the possibility of a second day, since it means more profits for them. So it will be up to Jay's schedule and whether the Indoor Stadium is available on the 23rd/25th. The latter shouldn't be a problem, since there's nothing scheduled on both days as of now. So it's all dependent on Jay's schedule. All the best, people :)!

It's now 11:20. I've been refreshing the seats availability page every 15 minutes, and it's so exciting to watch LOLOL. All the categories are either sold out or have only single seats left. I think all the tickets are going to be gone by today, haha. He's going to break his own record that he set with his previous concert :D! I just hope that there won't be people who sell the tickets online for gastronomical prices, like what happened the previous time. Somehow I think it will happen again though >.<.

Too much excitement this early in the day must be bad for health, tsk.

I watched this drama because it was recommended, and definitely not because Mukai Osamu is in it, okay xD. Overall, I think it's an enjoyable drama. The food look so yummy :DD. However, the ending is way too abrupt and it's like the viewers are supposed to imagine themselves what happened before the last scene >.<.

Osen is adorable :3. She's innocent like a young kid, but she's firm and decisive when she has to be. I don't understand why she drinks so much, though ^^;;. Aoi Yu's skin is sooo fair! She looks so young haha xD.

Yocchan (Ezaki is the real name, but everyone calls him Yocchan xD) is such a simple-minded baka, but I guess that's what makes him likeable. Uchi Hiroki is a pretty boy; I can totally see why he's a Johnny's, LOL xP. From some angles, he looks a little like Akanishi Jin, no? I don't like his hairstyle in the later episodes. Quite a few times I felt very awkward while watching Yoochan, though, which was caused either by Yoochan's nature or Hiroki's acting, haha.

Tome is quite fierce, but he's hilarious in some ways haha. Mukai Osamu! SPAZZ. He's SO cute! He has a very nice face structure, which I think has something to do with his tall nose bridge *___*. I like his hairstyle here; it's halfway between his hairstyles in Nodame and Atashinchi ^^. I think he's a good actor too; he did really well whenever he had more scenes, like in episode 7. And I love his speaking voice lalala~.

100325 Beast @ M!Countdown Backstage

Two members from MBLAQ (Lee Joon and G.O), who were the MCs, went backstage to interview Beast. The whole interview was so CHAOTIC, lol. I don't understand what they were saying (I do have a vague idea though), but this clip is so much crack that I had to post it!

1. Once the two MCs opened the door, you'll see Yoseob shouting and bouncing up and down the sofa with his whole body.

2. Lee Joon immediately sat onto Junhyung's lap once he entered the room, who in turn wrapped his arms around Lee Joon.

3. Kikwang did a little dance, which with his muscular arms, looked really girly somehow HAHAHA.

4. Dongwoon found a new profession -- to be a make-up artist. I've decided that he looks like a combination of Chen Yi and Vic Zhou, haha ^^;;.

5. Hyunseung was trying to eat Junhyung's hair at the back; LOL CREEPER.

6. Yoseob was SO ADORABLE at 0.35-0.38, when I suspect Lee Joon was talking about how his voice when performing sounded exactly like the CD version. And then he sang a line off Yet, with Kikwang's swift palms under his chin making a pose not unlike Junsu's when he's acting cute, and his voice melting many fangirls in the process.

7. But of course Kikwang wasn't trying to enhance Yoseob's cuteness; he put his hands there so that he could cover the latter's mouth after he sang one line xD.

8. After being forcefully shut up, Junhyung held Yoseob by the neck and started shaking him, but he had a gleeful smile on his face. Junhyung then covered Yoseob's mouth with his hand, and then shook Yoseob's head up and down. What does he take Yoseob as; a toy?!

I think Yoseob is everyone's toy, LOL xDD. I remember in one of the episodes of MTV B2st, after they filmed their debut teaser video, someone suggested a group hug, but Yoseob was all, "It's hot, don't want!", but still, Doojoon, being the motherly figure, went, "Just for Yoseob, then," and hugged him, who made a face when he was being hugged, but showed an angelic face afterwards. That was hilarious ROFL!

Beast is such a riot ♥. Yoseob is seriously crazy hahaha! Oh, apparently this was the day they won #1 :D.

His voice suits this song so perfectly, no? I think I just melted into a puddle of goo, LOL. YOSEOB YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVE YOUR VOICE ♥♥♥.

*clears throat* Just because I've been declaring my love for Yoseob in practically every post tagged "Beast", it doesn't mean I only like him and not the rest of the group, okay xPP. I've been watching the group's performances and they're doing very well, as usual :). I just don't wanna spam this blog with so many posts ^^;;. They're now performing Easy (1 2 3 4 5) along with Shock on radios, which is great because I love that song! The lyrics made me like the song more than I already do, haha x). Apparently they're ending their Shock promotion soon, and they'll start performing that song. I had thought that their follow-up song would be Special, since it's a powerful dance song, but I REALLY wished that it would be Take Care of My Girlfriend, 'cos that's my favourite song off the mini album x__x. Easy is nice and all, but I really somehow don't think it will leave that much impact and win them awards =X. Hope I'm wrong, though!

Seriously, I hope they will perform Just Before Shock one day, because that song is one of the most awesome intro tracks EVER, omg. I even like it a teeny bit better than Beast Is The B2st, the intro track of their first mini album, which is my favourite song off that mini album.

I decided to be honest and confess that the main reason why I watch the radio performances of Shock is to listen to Yoseob's "'Cos I'll be there~". I mean, that guy is amazing! When he sings, the vibratos sound like they're in all the right places. He can even make his voice sound raspy/rough and it sounds damn good. I'd love to listen to him singing a rock song someday :D. Also, I find Junhyung's rapping and himself extremely sexy ROFL. He has a lot of swagger and a very good sense of rhythm; he always manages to add in some extra "Yeah" or "So Beast" or something, which actually fit right into the songs.

I think Beast is a great boyband, haha ^^.

I think 吳克群 makes some of the world's saddest ballads, lol. Okay, that was an exaggeration, but his ballads do sound extremely sad. I wonder just how many break-ups he went through, that he's composing all these sad songs and writing all these sad lyrics. Or maybe he's just a saddist, LMAO. But whatever it is, I actually like him quite a lot, as an artist. I think he's very talented in terms of composing, and has a very nice voice.

王力宏 - 落葉歸根 @ 2008 Music Man 世界巡迴演唱會

After watching this performance, I really wished that I was a fan of Wang Lee Hom. He's one amazing musician with so much passion and professionalism. It's incredible that a 5 minute+ video just convinced me to buy his concert DVD, when, believe it or not, I didn't even like this song before watching this video. He is so awesome ♥.

There's something really poetic about the lyrics of this song ♥. I REALLY, REALLY LOVE 張芸京'S VOICE. It's very clear, very unique. And she's playing electric guitar in this MV; omg girlcrush *___*. Why does she look pretty and handsome at the same time; it's making me confused lol.

As you can see, she has her own tag now, just because. WHAT.

Tackey & Tsubasa - Koi Uta (Love Poem)

The ending theme of Osen, a Japanese drama that I'm currently watching. It's a nice song, and I like the lyrics too :). I haven't seen Hideaki Takizawa since Strawberry on the Shortcake; he used to look so young and boyish but now he looks so manly haha xD.

You know, I think that more so than the voice of the singers, the melodies of songs are very important. Like, it's difficult for me to like a song with awful melodies, even if the voice of the singer is like gold, but a good melody can easily make voices that I wouldn't usually like otherwise that much more bearable. That's why, given enough good songs like these, I think I can easily get into JPop, lol ^^;;.

Fly to the Sky (feat. Gummy) - 사랑해요 우리(Shall We Love)

I've been listening to old songs today, when I decided that I was in the mood for FTTS' songs. This is one of the 123456 songs of theirs that I really love ♥. All of their voices are nice, and they are fantastic singers. I really like Gummy's voice; did I ever mention that?

I guess some things can't be retrieved once they are gone. I'd like to say that I tried, but in retrospect, I don't think I really did. It's regretful, but forcing things won't make things right again.
