^JiHoo's episode off the F4 special episodes, which supposedly show them 5 years after the drama. Most of this episode is reminiscing of the JiHoo/JanDi moments, but to make up for the obvious absence of JiHoo in the current time, we get a very adorable scene of JiHoo making a JanDi snow woman which wasn't shown in the drama :D. The background music is SS501's Sometimes, which is a very nice song :).
Anyway! I started this post with this^ video, because it sumarises why JiHoo is so awesome: he is the nicest, kindest person one can possibly find. (Basically the Hanazawa Rui character is just a really great person, that's why I fangirl-ed over every version xP.) And because of that, you can expect that this is gonna be a lengthy, spazzy post x).

Usually I wanted Makino to be with Tsukasa, but at the same time I wanted Rui to be happy. But for the first time in watching the 3 versions of HYD, I actually wanted JiHoo and JanDi to be together. Which is all the scriptwriter's fault for putting in so many cute JiHoo/JanDi scenes, along with angst-filled JunPyo/JanDi scenes >:[.
One the main reasons why JiHoo is so awesome is that he was always there for JanDi, supporting and protecting her, even if he himself would be conflicted because he had feelings for her. He was indeed JanDi's "firefighter", for he knew when the alarms in her heart are ringing, and in order to extinguish the fire, he didn't care whether he would get burnt. I think it's amazing how he was always able to find her ^^.
He was always there for her, when she needed help, when she needed a shoulder to cry on.
JiHoo really cared for JanDi; always looking out for her silently, doing little things that are not very noticeable and might not seem like much, but really sweet all the same.
^Giving her his beanie so that she wouldn't catch a cold, medicine 'cos he knew that she was gonna be sick, his fork when she dropped hers; noticing her disappointed look at the prize they got and exchanged it for her; holding her hands so she wouldn't be cold; etc.
He wanted her to be happy, even if it was not with him, for when she was happy, he could be happy. Even after he was rejected, he was still there to hug JanDi when she cried thinking about JunPyo.
The days after, he was still being the old JiHoo, always looking out for her.
I especially loved the scene where JiHoo held F2 back when they were about to save JanDi when she was drowning, because he knew that JunPyo would eventually remember and save her. Even though every cell of his body must have wanted to jump in and save her himself. (The scene was very well done, on Hyunjoong's part =].)
There's also that scene where he told JunPyo that he knew where JanDi was, after she went to the fishing village without telling anyone. JunPyo plainly said that he wasn't interested, but JiHoo asked him again, and after he refused, JiHoo even gave him JanDi's address. If I were him I'd have just straight away gone to find her myself, without telling anyone. Sigh, he's too selfless.
^Doesn't it look like he wanted to hold her hand? ;__; Now that I think about it, JanDi lost that necklace twice, and both times, JiHoo was the one who eventually returned it to her.
Some of my favourite JiHoo/JanDi scenes, in no particular order, since there are too many of them that I like:
1. In episode 17, JiHoo, realising that JanDi and him were about to witness JunPyo and JaeKyung kissing, hugged JanDi so that she wouldn't see the scene.
It's the way his eyes widened when he realised what was about to happen, the protective way he held JanDi, that convinced me that I was in the right ship.
2. In episode 16, after that confrontation with JunPyo's mother, JanDi was totally deflated. JiHoo called her after JunPyo told him about the matter, so he called her to ask how she was. Of course, JanDi lied saying that she was at home and all fine, when she was actually somewhere else. As if having telepathy, JiHoo found her. She was mopping the floor, and knowing that she was keeping it all in, he took away the mop and hugged her while she cried, without saying anything.
This scene reminds me of the other scene where JiHoo said to JanDi, "Aren't you overdoing it?", telling her that she didn't need to act so strong in front of him.
3. "You are not that easy to forget", said JiHoo to JanDi, when she was down because of JunPyo's temporary amnesia. I don't know why, but I thought it was really sweet of him.
4. JanDi was crying 'cos JunPyo was about to get married, so JiHoo offered his handkerchief, but she pushed his hand away and said about her tears, “They’re so used to being wiped by you, sunbae. That’s why they stupidly keep acting all needy.”
INDEED. I actually think that what she said is really true. I have a feeling that the reason why JanDi was so weak in this version is that JiHoo was always there for her. Which is again, the
5. JiHoo was sick after being drenched in the rain, after the confrontation with his grandfather. He collapsed onto JanDi, who nursed him and later cooked him breakfast. One of the only times JanDi was able to do something for JiHoo, LOL.
Wow, I realised those^ scenes are all angst-filled, LMAO. So let's have the cute, angst-free scenes ^^;;.
^"Wedding" pictures! How I wish it's a real wedding ;__;.
I LOVE how he looks at her! Sometimes he'd look at her with concern-filled eyes..
..and other times he'd look at her and smiled slightly at himself.
That's love, I'm telling you.
Okay, enough of JanDi! JiHoo alone is pretty awesome too ^^. He's a very reliable friend for JunPyo (well, F2 have each other, so.. xDD), and cared for the people who mattered to him.
I think I have said this before, but I'M REALLY PROUD OF HYUNJOONG ♥♥♥. In the first 5 episodes I wasn't that fond of JiHoo as Hyunjoong was still kinda awkward, but after that, he really improved a lot. I wouldn't be fangirl-ing over JiHoo so much if he wasn't acting well, haha ^^;;. He (and the whole cast) must have worked really hard for this drama; in the later episodes he looked really thin =((. (But he's with the members now, so that's better ^^.)
He pulled off the expressions well, whether it's looking angry or emo-ing..
..or being cute..
..or just looking gorgeous. WHAT xD.
LALALA~ I'm done! I'm sorry I ended up spamming too much, hahaha. I love JiHoo loads :).
Lastly, I wanna say that instead of squealing over YiJung/WooBin or JunPyo/JiHoo, I'd opt for Hyunjoong/Kimbum. They're even neighbours, you know? And they love each other. LOL xDD.
